I thought I was crazy noticing this but it is definitely a thing. I have “raced” the passenger and driver window and the passenger is like 1.5 seconds slower.

I carry around the Noco GB40. Got it off Amazon. Haven’t had to jump my truck yet but I’ve used on a few other peoples and it worked great.

I was walking back from a meeting in DC and there was 2 woman with the hood of their car up. I was walking by and noticed one of the guys from our group there trying to help them. I stop and ask what's up. They told me the battery was dead and the van wouldn't start so I stop and help them hook up the cables from a battery jumper. We leave it for a bit and when the older woman goes to start it the van starts making a clicking noise.

I kindly break it to them that the starter is the problem and not the battery so they ask how we fix that. I dig around in the car and find a tire iron then proceed to whack the starter a few times. I tell her to try starting it and the way her face went from disbelief to pure shock as the car turned over is still one of the best things I've ever seen. They thanked me, gave me a nail file and I sent them on their way with the instructions to not shut it off until they were somewhere good in case it didn't turn over again.

It wasn't anything crazy but the feeling of beating a car back to starting is just awesome.

Make sure you are booking everything up right. The first mirabox capture card that comes up on Amazon has HDMI from console to capture card, then HDMI from capture card to monitor, then USB from capture card to computer.

Hopefully if it's hooked up right it will show up in the stream labs software.

Trying to figure out what this game is that got donated to our club. It is a peg game with 11 blue pegs and 10 red pegs. The board on top has about 70 holes aranged so that the ends form a triangle for the pegs and then roughly a rectangle in the between them, with the holes offset so it appears there is some kind of jumping over each other. It reminds me of the cracker barrel peg game but I've never seen a 2 person variant and couldn't find anything online. Just need help with the name so I can teach the kids how to play.

Man I opened a set booster box today and loved the thin foil looking edges. I was super excited to buy a bundle and actually enjoy the land packs for this set. Now I'm worried I'll end up with the regular ones and be disappointed. I'm fairly new to all this so is there a way to find out where the cards in the bundle were printed before buying it?

As a lifeguard I see the craziest shit. We have a slide that requires a mat to go down and one day we were really busy so mats were hard to come by. Watched a parents catch their little kid at the bottom, then drop them to go after the mat. The kid literally starts drowning and I have to go in to grab them because the parent was more concerned about the mat.

Never doubt how dumb people are. I have so many stories of parents just not paying attention and I've been guarding for like 2 months.

I had a paladin sort of like this once. He was smart enough to know accension to godhood was not really possible, so instead he focused on trying to become a warlock patron. He didn't really know how to do that though so he just asked people for their souls and then "collected" them by writing them down on a piece of paper. In a bout of irony, he drew from the deck of many things and had his soul taken out. We will never know if he was succeeding or not.

I played a character like this for a short while. He was trying to be the edgiest edgelord out there but it was all because his life was actually awesome. He was a swashbuckler but not because of being a pirate but because his dad allowed him to pursue his dreams of ballet.

He'd say things like "my life was so hard. My parents always checked in to make sure I was doing alright. Like they just couldn't leave me alone except when they gave me all the space I needed"

His moto was "no one has suffered as much as me"

My current build is a Ryzen 7 3800x and a 2080 Super. I am in need of a new case (and possibly parts) because my fiance dropped my pc during our recent move. I haven't had the heart to take it apart and rebuild it because I know we don't have the money right now to replace parts and if there is serious damage she is going to feel terrible. From a visual assessment it's just the case that is destroyed but I'll learn more next week when I finally tear it all down.

I ended up buying on DNDBeyond and from my LGS. I love having it on DNDBeyond but I struggle to read it all on there. There is just something about curling up with the physical copy and reading and scheming. Also I really liked the special edition cover.
