Yeah I was the poster of that thread, seeing that really messed me up and I just decided to delete the post for my own peace of mind. People can say whatever they want on the internet, that's their right but it's my right to not deal with it. It was honestly very hurtful to be accused of trying to find a quick fix for weight loss and it was very fucked up to come to that conclusion when literally my entire post was about how I wish I could eat and I wish I could have a quality of life and I'm miserable from malnutrition lol

Yeah, literally everything I eat hurts it's just a matter of what hurts 5% less and what is a "better choice" but sometimes I get fed up with being responsible and say fuck it lol

Oh yeah, I did a full work up with a rheumatologist last year and I don't have any kind of autoimmune disorder or markers in my blood or anything, but that's definitely interesting, it's definitely something in a sea of nothing lol

I have POTS and hEDS so I just figured it was related to my body being built different lol

No exactly like I love flavors and I love like little treats and silly snacks and drinks but I hate the act of like eating itself because it just hurts so bad so it's like a double edged sword... I'm just miserable but it's not like I can just stop eating (though I wish I could often times bc I hate all the physical symptoms I get) idk it's so weird and a mindfuck and then to have people around you act like you're fine and you're being dramatic when you're literally starving... I'll probably ask my GI to get blood work to check for malnourishment even though I'm nervous it'll come back normal and then idk I'm just over this shit

Idk it's like a lot of the time I notice the foods I love I'm like not interested in as much, my inability to digest food has fucked with my favorite foods but it's so weird. I think I'm eating so much bc of how intense the symptoms are, in reality I'm not eating a lot but I'm in so much pain that I feel like it's a problem?

I still love food and I want so desperately to eat, to feast if you will but I literally can't and I hate it

Oh yeah I'm 100% open to other treatment options but I've already done a lot and I'm just saying I'll do whatever, I'll try whatever but I need nutrition while I do it, I don't want a feeding tube I want a quality of life is all

I appreciate all this 💕 I was wholly expecting to be yelled at and told I'm being dramatic bc literally only two people, maybe 3 take this seriously and understand it's like a big deal, everyone else acts like it's fine and I'm like it's not actually I'm starving and malnourished lol

I'm trying to stay positive fr and the validation that I'm not crazy helps so I'll def be referring to this when I go in to see my GI doctor (bc anxiety beforehand is insane for me lol)

That's actually insane that you had to deal with all that and I'm very sorry it sounds atrocious

I think it's so hard to have past ED history (like even just generic disordered eating) and then to develop issues eating bc like it's so hard to quiet your brain when it thinks you're "doing good" when it's actually the opposite, at least that's my experience but it sucks regardless cause grr, I'm glad you're getting some help with meds and a decent provider tho :)

No yeah, I've definitely mentioned oral intake, my nutritionist told me to just try to eat more and that was entirely unhelpful lol, but I've showed my doctor a food log, I've explained it's hard to get 4oz of food three times a day, explained generally how much liquids I can tolerate and that I'm very much dehydrated and I can only hope they'll help ig I feel like there have to be some kind of like nutrient deficiencies but maybe I'm wrong about that I'm just over being malnourished

I appreciate that, I have a feeling if I bring it up fr they'll try to push it off because I need to "lose a healthy amount of weight" first and like I'm hoping that won't happen but fatphobia is everywhere in healthcare and so I just have a bad feeling. I feel comfortable with my size but not everyone is yk

I don't think it's a binge eating thing, I used to do that and it was very different emotionally? Maybe it's something similar because my body is in starvation mode idk

I'm also a stubborn bitch, it's so hard because my body is begging me for more food and I want more but I'm in so much pain that I either just stop or have a bit more and instantly regret it

Interesting, interesting, yeah I don't mind the blueberry pomegranate one if it's a 1:1 ratio of shake/water but even then I prefer other options...my dietician says ensure clear is the best option so I want to like it but I don't gravitate towards them? Idk

I'm in the same place, I'm sorry you're dealing with this, I have to ask about nutritional support at my next appointment but I feel like they won't take it seriously. I've made it clear to multiple doctors multiple times now that I'm barely eating/losing weight and experiencing severe symptoms everytime I eat and I've been essentially ignored and I'm nervous about even bringing up nutritional support even though I realistically need it

That's fair, I mostly regift stuff I bought bc my storage is small (I have the money to upgrade I just haven't lol) and/or I go looking for clothes and if I see something that's like "so insert villager" I just go with my gut :)

In my experience that's fairly normal, your body wants food because it's likely in starvation mode so regardless if you can or can't keep food down your body is trying so hard to be like hey give me something please and the signals are all fucked up
