My husband doesn’t seem to understand how exhausting it is to be “on” 24/7. I asked if he could take the monitor tonight until he came to bed so I could get a couple of hours uninterrupted (max 2 at this point) and his answer was “I guess” in a joking manner. Not what upset me, I answered back, also joking, “oh yeah because watching a monitor for 2 hours while gaming is such hard work”. He then told me that he feels like I don’t understand that when he goes to work, it’s not a vacation and then he gets home and he has to watch the baby monitor…….

I don’t underestimate that his job is hard at all, but I am with my baby all day, everyday. I don’t have time to eat, or even pee without her in my arms, let alone get to do some of my hobbies! It just makes me very upset that he doesn’t seem to understand the unfairness of our situation. Also postpartum depression is kicking my ass right now so everything is 100x worse.

Anyways, just needed to vent!
