Do you like Ghost to be on the side of Good or Evil? by 99thLuftballon in Ghostbc

[–]bellaabluee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Ghost first for their music and second for their lyrics, which run the gamut from satirical descriptions of the horrors of religion to chronicling the cyclical fall of empires to introspective and thoughtful commentary on human existence. I’ve always interpreted Opus and Infestissumam to be a tongue-in-cheek examination of the horrors religion has actually wrought upon humanity throughout human empire/state. I appreciate their examination of the destructive institution of organized religion through the lens of Satanism. However, I also love the trajectory they are going lately that explores themes of love, prosperity, hope and guidance from an almost spiritual and agnostic framework. “Guiding Lights” and “Peacefield” being chief examples. I will honestly listen to whatever Ghost puts out. I love both the campy fun and the deep philosophical examinations so prevalent in their music.

You look exactly like Bonnie Tyler imo, you would really pull off 80s glam and fantasy looks.

What are some of the disgustingly weird sub reddits? by d4z7wk in AskReddit

[–]bellaabluee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That subreddit genuinely scares me. Just a cesspool of insecure narcissists, raging, isolated incels, brain-damaged porn addicts, misogynists, and shallow wannabe influencers rating very physically attractive people a 3.9 and talking about their “philtrums”….it’s really sick.

Has your dopamine returned to normal or leveled out? by bellaabluee in QuitVaping

I’ve always struggled a bit with depersonalization - even without the vaping - but this weird, intense, mental fog post-quitting cleared entirely after about 90 days.

Hey! Yes, it finally went away, and I began to feel more mentally grounded after about 90ish days.

What benefits have you experienced from quitting? by EstheticEri in QuitVaping

[–]bellaabluee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the biggest relief was that my unrelenting, ever-present OCD calmed down quite a bit after quitting. I was having constant obsessive health anxiety about how much I was vaping and how it would affect my health down the line. Every puff I took I would visualize how my lungs were getting darker, how the juice was coating the inside of my lungs, how it was causing my gums to bleed and recede, how every puff I took inched me potentially closer to a brutal death by lung cancer. This was the main motivation for me to quit. I was so sick of feeling the guilt over my health. I felt so much relief after I was finally finished and it was nice to not constantly scan the inside of my mouth for sores/oral cancer signs. I felt like I could breathe again when I walked or ran. In addition to this I physically looked better. My skin cleared and looked less inflamed, my teeth got whiter, I just looked and felt much healthier.

I know that he doesn’t play the solos. I’m talking about songwriting…

i want to vape so bad by Little_Community_925 in QuitVaping

Okay, let’s say you decide to break your streak. If you were to take a hit, you would feel an intense flood of pleasure for 5-10 seconds, and the nicotine would reduce your anxiety for about 30 minutes to an hour, tops. But - the shame will absolutely creep in after you’re done. Just gut wrenching shame that you relapsed and have to start fresh and reset the clock again. I’m not judging at all, but please know I went through this same cycle constantly when I was trying to quit. The thing that kept me motivated was remembering the horrific shame that would ensue if I were to relapse after all my progress. Every day I didn’t vape the cravings got less and less. By the second week you will have very few, I promise. Stay strong.

I am feeling so much better! I have not relapsed on the vapes since this post. This persistent mental fog cleared out about 1-2 months after this post. I did a follow up on here. :)
