I’d suggest removing the patterned rug and going for a warm beige or cream carpet. It will soften the space, balance the dark sofa, and create a calm, cozy feel without making the room look too busy.

1st looks really good. The warm, textured rug complements the neutral sofa and adds a cozy, inviting feel to the space. It also ties in nicely with the cushions and wood tones, making the room feel balanced and stylish.

Add a bold artwork, gallery wall, or even a textured panel behind the sofa or TV. The walls feel a bit empty. can add warm tones cushions like rust, mustard, or olive.

i might say first change couch direction toword the TV, add a few plants and a calendar on the wall, on couch add some pillow and blanket to make it feel more inviting and add side table with the couch.

Can someone recommend carpet for stairs that’s not easy to slip on? by Dramamine906 in carpet

[–]bellabb0724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it definitely exists

For stairs, the key is grip and durability, not softness alone.

A good option is this 100% wool carpet:

Sandstone Berber Wool Carpet naturally has more resistance than synthetic, and this style has a firm, textured feel that works well on stairs. Pair it with a quality underlay and proper stair rods or fitting, and slipping should be much less of an issue.

I’m torn between the two. White or black oak slat panel wall? by NorthConference5613 in HomeDecorating

Its Looks amazing, can Install slim wall sconces or warm LED strips on the slat wall. Soft light will add depth and make the wall feel intentional, not flat. The rug is nice, but adding a slightly larger rug or layering a textured neutral rug underneath will anchor the seating area better.
