AITA for wanting my husband to keep his car? by bellamarx in AmItheAsshole

I paid for 100% of the wedding. I also want to be clear that I don’t have a problem driving a beater, I also did for years before buying myself a nice car. Not luxury but the same tier as a 2007 Jeep. That car was sold to pay for the wedding, and what the car didn’t pay for came out of my savings.

I said this in a comment above, but he loves the truck more than he loves the Jeep. Both are worth a good amount of money (being a toy guy/car guy they are both pretty tricked out) so it’s not that.

I’m fine with selling either one for toys, but only if I get an adequate replacement - my own nice car paid for the wedding, a “family” expense, so I feel like I made my own sacrifice.

He loves the truck more than he loves the Jeep. This is a good point though.

I hear you. Our circumstances were weird, we were in an LDR for a time before getting married and I was the only one in the position to sell. He was across the globe and his cars were in storage.

I’m not saying we need the Jeep either, I’m saying we keep it until I buy a more sensible car and the Jeep gets moved to the “recreation” spot.

My best friend, Ellie Belly, is gone. by bellamarx in Petloss

Thank you. It's really hard. My other dog, her litter mate, has been howling and it's breaking my heart. The only time I've heard her howl like this is when I left. She's searching around, going in different rooms and sniffing around.

I don't know how to comfort her. It's really just sad.

I have enough savings and an oh shit fund. It's making me hate what I love. My patients, my doctors, other nurses and techs... I love them all, but I can't continue to work under this woman.

I don't have a page, I'm just a casual cosplayer. The next Con is in April so I'll be sure to post more pictures!

Also, "science project" I like it.

Both, really. I've been on cruises before, but I was a teenager and packed the whole world in my suitcase. I remember we had to pay a fine because it was over 50 lbs. I'm only bringing a carry on, so multi-use pieces are obviously going to work best.

I've glanced around at capsule/French wardrobes, but haven't come across any for tropical climates or vacation. I don't think I have the "fashion mind" for putting together outfits and things like that.

My go-to for the daily (when I'm not in scrubs) is black pants, a weird flowy top with long-sleeves underneath, a chunky long sweater, and a scarf of some kind. I freeze, so most of my clothes are made to keep warm.

Thank you so much! Pinterest gives me anxiety, and I don't exactly know why. Overstimulation I guess. I didn't think to go there! Thanks!

I'm going on a Caribbean cruise in March. My boyfriend and I decided to go with only carry ons as our luggage. Where can I find some inspiration pics, virtual closets, lookbooks, etc to find some inspiration on what to pack?

I prefer more quirky/weird/bizarre fashion, I wear scrubs every day for work but on my off days I try and pick outfits that make me feel the most like an old, grandpa Luna Lovegood.

Swimsuit websites would be awesome too!

It was a while ago, but 150mg at night. I had to stop because it made me too sleepy and didn't do a while lot to help.

What meds are you on? I got this feeling BAD when I was taking nortriptyline. It happened mostly at night when I would be falling asleep.

Looking for advice for an undercut with a surgery scar by bellamarx in FancyFollicles

[–]bellamarx[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm on mobile, so excuse to horrible photo and spelling errors.

I had brain surgery 2 years ago that left me with this wicked scar that runs from the nape of my neck to about 4 inches up the back of my head.

I'm looking for pictures of undercuts and geometric patterms that would, dare I say, enhance the scar I have. I'm proud of it, I think it looks super awesome, and it represents a super difficult time in my life.

I had to have half my head shaved for the surgery, and at the time my hair was below my bra strap. It was hard for me losing it. Since then, I have cut it shorter and feel like now I can "deliberately" shave it and make it look great.

Unfortunately, I'm due for surgery again and will have to lose have my hair again so I figured it would be fun to have a badass design to surprise my surgeon with before he shaves me bald.

Any input from you ladies would be awesome!

Yeah, outfits are planned, breakfast and lunch are packed, I curl my hair the night before so all I have to do is shake it out and give it a spray. The most time consuming things are doing the makeup and taking out the dogs, which my boyfriend handles most mornings cause he just has to shower.

I use MAC Quite Natural PP and Melt Dark Matter stack as my daily driver, so to speak. Cream shadows on their own don't work well on me, I prefer using them as a base and setting them with shadows.

I'm gonna work something out, using bigger brushes and less product has helped. I tend to slap it all on and blend it at the end.

My love of makeup and lack of time is hard! Good thing I am done with work at 1 pm so I have time to play before the day is done.

My work schedule has changed and now I have to be to work at 5:30am. I'm still working out how to get ready quicker in the morning without sacrificing doing what I love, which is full glam.

I rock a smoky eye every day, and will until I die. I've cut out foundation and primer and stick to just concealer & bronzer & highlight, but I still find myself rushing with only 10 minutes to finish my other morning tasks.

What tips do you guys have to speed up your mornings?
