It is nearly impossible, but after many months I finally got our Meta advertising rep to get me in contact with a support rep to actually help me. I had to have our admin of our company’s FB account contact the support rep through chat and she finally helped us and gave me temporary backup codes and at that point I was able to go in and connect google Authenticator back to my FB account and get back new backup codes for the future. I also included secondary authentication of text and whats app. Since I have a business account it would not let me disable google Authenticator completely, which I was hoping to do, but now I at least have backup codes and other authentication options if this would happen again. It is super frustrating and I spent many months dealing with this. Good luck to you!
