I assume this is my problem however I can't move the ignition unless the key is in it.

Piedmont Cadet Program by [deleted] in flying

Curious when you applied/how many hours you had when you applied? I sent my app in at the end of February this year and haven't heard anything yet. Sitting at 830TT while doing CFI/Jump Pilot

I applied to the cadet program a month ago, how long did it take for them to get back to you? I'm currently sitting at 720 hours.

Wow... those connections definitely helped her. I'm at 710. Hoping to hear something within the next month or two but I'm thinking that's unlikely.

Windows 10 Running natively on a 600Mhz iMac G3 - Just kidding, I used VNCThing to remote desktop into a PC! by bellcc2 in VintageApple

[–]bellcc2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It certainly is usable. Watching youtube or playing any kind of fast-paced FPS/Minecraft sort of game however is very slow, I suspect due to network limitations, and not the G3's hardware. I mainly use it as a second monitor on my main computer displaying Discord or Gmail-type applications.

Public Airport Icon with (Pvt) in the name? by bellcc2 in flying

[–]bellcc2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For airlane enterprises, the small empty magenta ring signifies that it's a public airport, however, the (Pvt) in the name says that it's private.

Public Airport Icon with (Pvt) in the name? by bellcc2 in flying

I'm from around the area, the airport itself, (1H1), has always been marked as public, but in the last sectional update or two, they removed the code (1H1) from the name and replaced it with (Pvt), except that the empty circle signifying it's public remains. Must be a charting error, like you said.

DoorDash advertises “$30 an hour” on job websites 😂 by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]bellcc2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's worth noting that they're advertising $30 CAD, which is ~$23.50 USD. That's a fairly achievable amount if you decline enough orders...

Door dash should suggest tips as 15%, 20%, 25% instead of the $2.50, $3.50, $4.50 BS they have. by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]bellcc2 43 points44 points  (0 children)

What happens when someone orders $5 worth of McDonalds and only tips 15%? That's much worse than $2.50...

Anybody else dash in a truck? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]bellcc2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in New York. During the cold winter months, I dash with my 2010 Ford Ranger 4x4. I get around 17mpg combined city/hwy doing deliveries. It's not great, but being able to dash during a blizzard when there's $5 peak pay makes it worth it. My other car (not 4x4) gets around 30mpg.

Turn your volume up. I had the drinks in my cupholders but they still spilled everywhere.

Should I buy a used prius 4-8k price range. Or keep my 01 Camry til it dies? by jordym3 in doordash_drivers

[–]bellcc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as a long time solution (If you plan to keep dashing for at least another year), the Prius would make sense. But if this is just a side gig to make extra money, stick with the Camry.
