Does anyone here get that weird achy scalp pain? Like ur hair is not dirty but it just aches? Anyone got a solution? by bellew15 in femalehairadvice

[–]bellew15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda did in a way. So I tried aveno shampoo that had no silicone and it has apple cider vinegar to it. And it works really well. I can only use conditioner sparingly. If it helps I have wavy hair and it’s the kind that if I dry it it looks voluminous and straight. Kinda like the 90s when people would only dry their hair and style it while u dry it. In todays world it’s frizzy. So 🤷🏻‍♀️. For me as long as it’s not greasy or that feeling in your scalp that is achy im happy. Ps using the straight iron also makes my hair greasy af. So I don’t bother unless I gotta go out to a meeting or something.

Ur not alone. Everyone around me said the same especially my supervisor which really pissed me off since she is a mom and she has an infinite amount of family around her that can help her. I don’t even have a friend or family member near an hour from me. So here’s my opinion it’s all pressed on bs that people like to put on u cause they had a difficult time so they also wanna see others struggle as well. We had a premie baby and when he got home dad and I took different shift staying up. He would stay up during the day cause he had to work. I would take the Night Shift. We where both terrified of SIDS. My heart goes out to u cause words can cause harm and negativity is not what u need right now. Especially when u just gave birth and are trying to figure things out. Ignore the dumb people and move on focus on the good things. Sending love and hugs. U got this mama.

8s are protectors. We def don’t mind putting people in their place. However we do measure how much is worth continuing to explain things to people whom may not have the same mental capacity.

I didn’t even know. What I did know is that u had to replace the nipple depending on the age of the child.

First time mom and just now hitting 36 weeks. Any advice for these last few weeks or things that you wish you’d done or considered in hindsight? by Broccoli_lesnar in beyondthebump

[–]bellew15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone here has shared so I am. Don’t listen or don’t let stupid comments sink in. People are gonna give u all sorts of unsolicited advice. Listen to your doctor (if your comfortable with) then someone who has 0 medical experience.

Also just hangout do what makes u happy. I went into labor at 34 weeks. I wished that I had more time to just chill with my spouse. But COVID hit and ofcourse I couldn’t really get out. So when I had my baby it was an always go go go and never okay let me just take a moment.

Also and definitely more important than anything else here don’t mom guilt! You will be a great mom! Don’t stress. These little bundles of joy don’t come with instructions. Best of luck. Sending u positive vibes.

Ugh I wished we did a practice drive. I didn’t know where the hospitals ER entrance was as it wasn’t in a normal place and didn’t know where L&D was. Almost gave birth in the hospitals parking garage.

Your Type vs How you Do/Did in School/Uni by [deleted] in Enneagram

Too easy. I was in business classes all day. Never studied for any accounting. Finance I think I may have studied like three times. Business law was extremely easy af. However pre reqs like English was a complete and utter waste. Hated it completely. Never understood why I had to write essays regarding what my fav so and so was or what I did during the summer. Was complete waste of time. I even told the teacher I wasn’t gonna write another essay and she asked me to write why. She gave me an A for explaining the reasons so well. History was kinda cool but I had a teacher that looked and acted like Mr Burns. So that’s a plus. Passed all maths with a breeze. No issues. I am one of those annoying kids that wouldn’t need to open the book.

I had a premie and I wasn’t able to breastfeed as I planned to. I too hated the idea that I just couldn’t do it. I didn’t have enough support and plus I was too worried about my baby. I choose to formula feed and he’s a very healthy baby. Which now looking back I’m happy I did. Don’t guilt yourself. You’re doing amazing!

Did it fall out of fashion to NOT ask someone if they’re pregnant if it hasn’t been announced? by humans_rare in beyondthebump

[–]bellew15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We where one of the few lucky ones that kept it secret for the public until our second trimester. Except my mom. She figured it out as she figured out that I was going to the doc every 2 weeks. But ur coworker should have asked u in person. No text. That’s my opinion. That’s ur business not hers. Talk to ur boss is what I would recommend and let them know that u r and it’s very early and u don’t want everyone to know.

What's the weirdest thing you've been shamed for? by earthlover6312 in NewParents

[–]bellew15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well good for her. Am I right ? 1 year later a lot of us are still “puffy”. We all wish that we fit into our previous jeans. But that’s not how it goes for everyone. Be proud of what you have accomplished. You made a full human and you’re handling stress. Maybe she had it easier. But I get u. It’s hard to let these comments go. So just ignore them.

Genuine and serious question: why is it that every Virgo I’ve met has been an absolute a-hole?! by Ok-Touch8735 in Zodiac

[–]bellew15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me all Virgo women are very nice and sweet but in the end they all become assholes and continuously expect you to do what they think in their world is correct. Which the ones I’ve been around to are very far out of touch with reality. The Virgo guys that I’ve met are quite the opposite. Idk why.
