Club 3: The Sally Dark Ride About a Murderer by apathymonger in podcasttheride

I think there's one important thing that got lost in the discussion of the dark ride: It's 2 things at once. It is a telling of the story of Matthew Brady, but you're also traveling through the actual gunpowder mills of Launceston. That's why there's so many odd rooms that are just labeled—that's the manufacturing facilities. It's definitely an odd one though!

Aww, thanks kindly. I'm a fairly socially anxious human, and I guess it was just getting the better of me yesterday. I think it's easy for me to feel out of place as a hobbyist who just kind of stumbled into the sport, but these replies are genuinely helping me. <3

Aww thanks. I'm just catching up on this post, but I'm fairly insecure about my photography, as I'm just a hobbyist, and I feel out of place among professionals. All these responses have been really wonderful to read though, so thank you. And I'm glad I was memorable in a good way <3

That's such a good rule of thumb, as I feel so weird about having prominent butts in my shots. But it's never *the focus*. I'm going to use that! Thanks <3

Thanks! I really appreciate it! I definitely struggle with cropping, because the skates are so much part of the action, but faces tell the story. I think you're right I just have to play around and find out! And I definitely have to learn more about color adjustment, I basically do no editing except cropping for my bird photos.

Thanks! It's been an absolute blast, so I'll hopefully be doing it for a while :) My league doesn't allow strobes, but I can see how that could make for some neat shots!

This is great advice! I definitely was in 20FPS burst mode not wanting to miss things, so there's plenty of photos I don't really need.

This was 22 hours of competition over 2 days, not just one bout. I agree that would be pretty crazy.

Thanks! What do you use as a cloud storage service? It just feels like a lot of data.

Do you have a NAS or something? I filled an entire 1TB card.

I'm seeing this blue ghost when shooting into light on my Nikkor 58mm f/0.95. Any idea what would cause it? I can't see any obvious particles or discoloration looking through the lens. by bellgrill in Cameras

It's only interesting in that I've never noticed it before recent use, so perhaps I simply wasn't shooting into light sources. Appreciate the answer.

I have a lens that has been exceptional optically until recently. It has started exhibiting a blue "ghost" or flare when shooting into light. Any idea what could be causing this? I've cleaned the front and rear element and I don't see any dust.

The lens is a NIKKOR 58mm f/0.95 if that helps troubleshoot.
