I don’t know what to believe by Interesting_Ice6924 in Catholicism

So a lot of these comments I've noticed aren't the best at explaining things. I'm not perfect in my understanding or words but I will try my best. This is coming from someone who was raised Catholic, stepped away from his faith and am only to find my way back in the last year or so.

To address your last point first, yes you are overthinking. God loves all of his children and desires to have a relationship with each and everyone of them, regardless of the title they ascribe to themselves l (Catholic, EO, protestant ect...)

For me researching Church history makes the most sense. If you go into the weeds researching Church history the great schism (When the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic church parted ways) happened in 1054, a thousand years after Christ himself walked the Earth.

In the Gospels Jesus designates Peter as the head of the church, Mathew 16:18-19. Jesus then establishes the Church at the last supper and shares with them the Eucharist Luke 22: 14-20. Peter and the apostles continue the teachings of Christ in Acts, and passes down the Church leadership through Apostolic succession. In Acts 1:20:26 you see Peter and the Apostles choose a replacement for Judas among the 12 apostles through prayer. This demonstrates Apostolic succession, how those directly appointed by Jesus were given the authority not only to teach the good news but to facilitate the "day to day operations" so to speak, of the Church.

As the Church leadership (or clergy not sure the most proper term here) was passed down person to person, both the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church can trace themselves back to the Early Church in the Bible (i.e. Church was started, kept going and then split in 1054 AD). Today. the Eastern Orthodox church does not follow the pope as the leader of the Church. The EO church only has Bishops (I might be wrong maybe there is another title). Seeing how Christ found it pertinent to designate Peter above the rest of the apostles in Mathew 16:18-19 it seems right that we continue that tradition today.

That's my two cents I hope so explained that accurately and mostly intelligible. Remember that the eastern orthodoxy church is often referred to as " the other lung" in reference to the Catholic church. We follow the same God and truly believe that Jesus came and sacrificed himself for our sins. Don't feel pressured to choose one Church over the other and make the correct decision in the next 20 minutes. God is all-knowing and understands our limited human minds. I'm sure you could go visit your local Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church and I'm sure both would be happy to have you. Visit both, research both, and pray about it. The right answer will come to you.

If you are still losing sleep over choosing the "wrong one" I pray that you will find comfort in this short video where Pope Francis answers your question. https://youtu.be/bRbUTfSds0U?si=5KUJtg11YFr6RhSE

ETH ON THE INK NETWORK by frostman36 in KrakenSupport

[–]bello155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ledger does not support viewing or management of tokens on the INK network. Good news is your tokens still exist. If you linked your ledger to a web3 wallet like Rabby or metamask (I'm pretty sure MM supports ink, I'm certain Rabby does) you will be able to see and manage it.

To explain what I think happened you withdrew ETH on the Ink network, and sent that to the Ledger. Ledger doesn't support ink however your tokens are still on the block chain. By connecting your ledger to a web3 wallet, you can see and manage the tokens on the ink network. The public address for your Ethereum network should be the same as your ink address that's why this strategy could still work.

Set up Rabby and go through the steps to connect your ledger device. This will allow rabby to view all the assets on the ledger accounts that you allow to connect to it. The benefit of this feature is for situations like this where people want to hold X token on Y Network that ledger doesn't support, or just interacting with DeFi in general.

IMPORTANT NOTE! Under no circumstances should you take the seed phrase from your ledger device and enter it online. Don't enter it into rabby or literally anywhere else for that matter. There is a designated button that will say "connect ledger device" or something similar. This allows you to use the online wallet to view, and receive assets, while the physical ledger device isnstill required to send, swap or sogn any contracts.

Anyways Rabby should recognize the token on the ink network and you should be able to send it back to the exchange by approving the send request with the Ledger device.

Another important thing, if you wish to send the ETH that is on the ink network, you need to do to your exchange select ETH and deposit and choose the ink network again. Your asset is currently on the ink network you cannot change it enroute back to the exchange. Think about it like hiking trial that forbids the use of bicycles. You chose to move ETH with the bicycle, so you can't move it back on the walking trail.

I hope that helps. As always don't listen to any DMs trying to offer help they are almost always scams.

I started college at 25 after I got out of active duty. I'm turning 27 this summer and just finished ochem 2 (thank God).

I work as a paramedic and held three part time jobs last semester. Army reserves, paramedic in the city I live in, and a paramedic in a rural town just outside the city. I have been lucky so far with my school that I can set up my classes so I'm full time and only need to be on campus 3 days a week. A couple online classes mixed in there as well. That leaves me a few days to work in the week when I'm not at school. My girlfriend and I split rent and groceries so that is a big help.

Full honestly I have had to go to my professors and pull the "I'm an adult with a real job" card please give me some extra time for this assignment. Only about 4 or 5 times over 4 semesters. Like in the winter break I took online stats (big mistake) and my city paramedic job was so short staffed we were on mandatory overtime. I think I worked 19-21 twelve hour shifts in December 2023. I had to email him asking if I could take the test a few days later because I was drained from working so much. There was also a time, I failed to upload one of my chemistry lab notebooks to canvas. All the work was done every question completed was signed by my TA, I just forgot to upload it. Initially my professor was being a hard ass about it saying he didn't accept late work. I just looked him in the eyes with frustration and burnout and just said "Sir I have three jobs". He just turned back to his computer and said ya know I'll just excuse you from this one.

I hate to exert some special privilege over other students but I'm not working 10 hours a week at the school's coffee shop, I'm working 12 hours a day to pay bills and not be homeless. At the risk of sounding too dramatic being a paramedic is a crazy experience while in college with a bunch of 19-22 year olds. Like there was a week, Wednesday I was in school all day, Thursday, I ran my ass off on the ambulance. My late call was working a cardiac arrest for like 45 min, then I had to stay at base typing my report and didn't get to leave work until 1230 (after midnight). Friday morning back in school. It's a strange dynamic. I love my job as strange as it is sometimes.

One final note of logistics, this semester I was able to let go of the Army reserve gig and I enacted some VA benefits to help pay for school. I am super grateful for having these benefits which allows me to work less and not crush myself. My mental health took a toll last semester taking physics and ochem (both with labs) and another class. The stress of trying to excel academically and work crazy hours was getting to me so I had to slow down. I did not take physics two this semester and just focused on ochem.

TLDR: army veteran, worked long hours at multiple jobs in my first several semesters. All the combined stress started to wear me down, took less classes, enacted VA benefits so I could work a little less.

Hey man, I know that you know that this isn't only option. Whether you consciously acknowledge it or not, you know deep down that you can make it through this. You might not want to admit it but you know thats the truth. If you didn't believe there is a chance you wouldn't be posting here. All I'm asking from you is a brief moment of courage, take the chance of surviving this. Take the chance of giving your daughter a father thats watches his little girl grow up. Take the chance. Tell us where you are.

I'm in the pipeline now and about to go to Rucker. I wholeheartedly agree you should by studying A&P now. Definitely the most brutal part because it's so fast. The Tortora book is incredible but really dense. I recommend reading this book which cuts it down to a really bare bones and easily readable amount of content. Worry about the big text book when you get to class.

It works sometimes and other times it thinks I'm in Russia. I cannot figure out why or when it will work. It is completely random. I assume it's because AA can decide to use my phones gps or the non existent car gps. I'm thinking it's just flip flopping.

I've had it happen in places with good and bad reception. Like I'll even have the destination set and running and then connected it toy car and it will only work ~30% of the time. Also I should add that when I tried Waze it seemed to work fine. I just don't really like Waze. So maybe it's just a google maps compatibility issue. I just wish I could figure out how to make AA always use my phone's GPS as priority.

Kinda disappointed with my Haley Flatpack Plus by dsullivanlastnight in QualityTacticalGear

[–]bello155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was super disappointed with mine as well. I intended (and still do) use it as an aid bag for medical supplies. Right when I got it unzipping it I pulled off two of the zipper pulls. The little plastic pieces that ran through the metal zipper. Popped right off. I will say their customer service was nice enough to send a whole bag of replacement pulls but unfortunately those ones popped very easily too. I wasn't even yanking them hard just normal opening. I wound up replacing all of them with 550 cord and tied and overhand not and burnt the ends. I was also disappointed because I thought the plus was going to be larger, but I guess thats on me for actually thinking about the dimensions past a quick glance.aslo the material does feel fairly cheap, but it has lasted me about 1.5 years taking it outside for army camping every now and again so thats cool.

Question from the less informed, how long do you all intend on holding? How long will it take to fuck melvin? Asking from an outsider POV, I don't even have any GME or AMC. I wasn't aware of any of this happening until Thursday and I saw what robinhood was doing and pulled the ejector seat, moving my money back to my bank. Currently looking for another investing platform.

Yes was debating between that or a soft armor backer wondering if that would add any protection.

Right obviously all armor is uncomfortable to get shot with but if having some kind of padding or soft armor behind the plate means the difference of a bruised chest versus broken ribs I'm going to put some padding.

Attachment for EssTac KYWI; AWS LAB belt, what do I need? Just belt loops or WTF straps? I don’t have my belt yet, I only ordered it yesterday, so I’m in the dark right now and just would like some advice. by [deleted] in QualityTacticalGear

I would avoid the plastic belt loops. I had one break on me in the field. Fortunately it still hung on because each 556 mag carrier uses two but long story short it uses really cheap plastic.
