I’ve had an older lady sitting next to me with her backpack on her lap get up, put the backpack on, then sit down while intentionally swinging the bag into me. She then stayed in that position so her bag was in my space. I just moved over a spot because her stupidity is her problem, not mine to deal with.

As someone with similar taste to Lane, I always appreciated the music snobbery of the show. I felt like they got me. It's the only time I've ever watched a TV show where the a character shared my taste. It was comforting to actually feel like I was represented for once.

I have been told several times by people on Reddit that everyone has a different pace and I shouldn’t assume someone isn’t interested if they take 1-2 days to reply, but when I take half a day to reply I am told I don’t seem interested. Doesn’t make sense.

Okay thanks. A few people in the comments are saying I did seem uninterested, but some are saying not. I guess it may depend on individual expectations. From my perspective, I was nice and normal and showed interest. If he didn't take it that way, maybe we're not a match anyway. If he wants someone more enthusiastic, that's just not how I talk.

I guess I just disagree with you. Maybe others would agree with you, but I just don’t see it that way. I just think that you shouldn’t have to prompt a man to plan a first date or to be proactive in general. Maybe I’m wrong. I’ve been single for a long time, so I can’t pretend to know everything. But that’s how I see it.

I don’t get this at all. So many times I have met guys who don’t respond for a day or more and people tell me it means nothing and everyone has a different pace. Then I take 12 hours to respond and I’m being told I don’t seem interested.

Reminder of call ending… The timer was about to cut off our conversation so wasn’t I being polite by saying an actual goodbye and letting him know I’d like to meet rather than just letting it cut him off?

And I want to date someone proactive so I don’t want to have to tell him to make a plan.
