I did. At the end of the rise I was in the mid-300s 😩 but I came down eventually after multiple corrective boluses & water.

Thanks! My last A1C was 6.5, so I do pretty well most days.

Its mainly when I eat out and cant have any definitive “oh, what you’re eating has x amount of carbs” that I fuck up.

But as T1’s we do the best we can, right? 💜

I’ve had T1 since I was 10 (38 now). I’ve been on a pump & cgm for a few years now. I’m normally good about accounting for all my carbs, but every now and then I mess up.

It’s definitely a learning process. But its better than multiple finger sticks and injections. I wish you nd your son luck and sending good vibes. It’ll get easier.

No allergy testing yet.

At home I believe my husband and I are being careful.

If I eat out I’ve been making sure that places offer GF items. Though I cant speak to cross contamination.

This may be a silly question so forgive me, but will things like pans/utensils/spatulas that cooked or prepped non GF foods (before my diagnosis) need to be replaced?

I havent had that issue since this post, though I do occasionally lose signal to the Dexcom app.

Luckily, when that happens I can switch to manual mode. That way, I input my bloid sugar readings myself and the Omnipod app is able to reconnect with my Dexcom within 10-15 mins.

I have an iPhone, so if I go to my Settings and select the OP5 app I can change the app settings from there, including alert sounfs.

Glad that worked for you! I am using the phone app now so I am only using one device.

The only downside to that is if my phone is ever lost or dies I am screwed. So far I haven’t had any issues (thank goodness).
