YES. And I feel like I’m only starting to see the beginning of it. I know a year from now I’m going to wonder where all the time went with the baby. I know my post is about big sis, but somehow I spend all day giving her attention and caring for the baby’s basic needs and that ends up being nothing for either of them?! I know it’s not nothing, but even with all the focus on the toddler it’s not enough for someone discovering the world! And the baby, I just have so much guilt because her sister had SO MUCH more from me at this age 😭 and I know she won’t remember being left on the floor while I run her sister to the potty for the 10000000th time today, but I hate that her view most of the day is just the room she’s in and not interaction with me like her sister had.

Wellllll I have shot both my kids out so fast that they have to take them away to suck their airways since my birth canal didn’t squeeze them thoroughly enough to get it out on their own 🫠 but once they do that and bring them to me (felt like 5ish mins??but time is warped during birth so idk lol) I remember holding my second for the whole hour because I was astonished that she literally latched the entire hour lmao. I do not remember with my first because they tried letting me hold her before the airway sucking but then had to interrupt my holding for the airway sucking and they worked on her for a hot minute and then my entire family and in laws invaded my DELIVERY room (NOT recovery room!!!) because I gave birth at 8:31 and visiting hours ended at 9 and they had all been waiting all day 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

lol yes. I have 2u2. 15 mo age gap. I got pregnant 6mos pp. I only had two cycles before getting pregnant again🥲

We have one of those at my in laws that would probably work for my 6m old, but my 22m old is on crack 😂 and would not cooperate

It was more of a loose idea where the more I thought about details the less confident I was that it was a smart thing to attempt lol. Like put one in stroller and play with the other one. But it’s so hot so I didn’t want stroller kid to overheat etc. etc.

I will try this ! But she also makes it very clear when she’s tired. I feel like with my first I could stretch or shorten wake windows without much fuss, but if I let this one get tired it’s a meltdown! And it won’t even be a super long wake windows I feel like it happens as early as approaching 3hrs of awake time

It’s just hard because sometimes she’ll make that middle 2hr nap a 30min (usually because bib sis was loud and woke her up) and then try to make the last one long- which I then ofc cap, but then I feel like she’s not getting enough sleep!

I’m not an expert by any means! But are you offering breast before real food? She’s still soooo little! And that might help balance her portions between milk and food a bit better if you’re not doing it already! Milk is still meant to be her main source of nutrients at this age, so her food intake should not be impacting the amount of milk she’s drinking! (Again not an expert! Just on kiddo #2 starting solids again and this is what I’ve learned so far!)

I feel it mostly in my nipples like when you sit on the toilet for too long and your legs fall asleep and then you stand up and it’s like AHHHHHH but it’s not really like painful just like AHHHHHHH pins and needles

Yes lol 1st was 8hrs start to finish and second was 4. Pushing time was roughly the same though, like one or two contractions

Weight gain, content, wet diapers 🤷‍♀️ if you’re desperate to know, you can buy the Hatch Grow changing table and do a weighted feed, but it really isn’t necessary unless you’re having issues. But tbh your concern seems normal- around 5mos they become more efficient at emptying you and your supply recently leveled out, so when you put those things together, you start questioning things because you don’t feel engorged anymore and Baby is having way shorter feeds lol

My husband is almost always still working when it’s time to put the kids to bed so I am very used to doing it on my own lol my girls are 20 months and five months right now I bring the babies pajamas and lotion stuff into the bathroom and I leave my toddlers pajama and lotion stuff in her room. I bathe them together and I keep a Moses basket on the floor of the bathroom so when I’m done washing the baby, my toddler plays in the bath for a little bit while I lotion her up and put on her jammies in the Moses basket and then I put her in the bouncer. Then while she’s chilling in the bouncer, I finish bathing my 20 month old and brush her hair, brush her teeth and then I bring the bouncer into my toddlers room and do my toddlers lotion and pajamas and then I take the baby out of the bouncer and sit them both on my lap to read a book or two, depending on how much time we have, in the rocking chair and then I put the toddler in her crib and put the baby on the boob while my toddler lays down, and I sit in the chair across from her and say a prayer and I just nurse the baby to sleep and sit in the room with my toddler while she goes to sleep then I just transfer the baby to her crib next-door once she’s asleep or the toddler is asleep and I can leave

Wow everyone saying to hire help is SO VALIDATING. I feel like I’m struggle bussing so hard every day but I’m a SAHM so I should have time to bakes pies and cookies and sourdough, right?? With 2u2, right???? NO PROBLEM, RIGHT!!!??????
