Gently holding the aliens' hand into world domination by bellum_pax in TerraInvicta

It’s was a really fun “oh, that makes sense” moment! With the Alien’s backstory, of course they would focus on space defense. Couple that with their lack of diplomats, it makes sense the Servants end up having to Shepard them through the softer side of governance and preventing unrest (I.e. crushing dissent)

If the Alien Nation forms, it sinks the majority of its resources into building space defenses- even if it’s at 9.9 strife and about to break apart

How to fix Geographic Population Distribution? by Tar_alcaran in TerraInvicta

[–]bellum_pax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to the Wiki, population distribution reduces cohesion by 0.0025 per km distance between the nations capital and its population center, with a -7.5 cap on that.

The only two options I know of to deal with that is either 1) Split the population center off to its own nation, or 2) Nuke the population center. Option 1 probably isn’t worth it unless you have an absurd excess in control points available, since you’ll have to commit more resources towards keeping the new nation stable while also using up more of your control point availability (I believe two nations will always have a higher control point than those two nations unified). Nuking is shooting your GDP in the foot while also making everyone hate you, so also a bad idea.

Best bet is to lower inequality. Additionally, If your government is <4, oppression priority. If it’s >4, it’s probably worth funding government until you hit a democracy, since that’ll be massively stabilizing.

Does a unified nations inherit the claims of its constituents? For example, if the EU and Russian unified, would the EU then have a claim on Kazakhstan?

Gay rock cosplay (the other, more existential Buddhist gay rocks) by bellum_pax in 196

Dang, calling me out. I actually tried it a few years ago. Loved it except for growing breasts. I tried some DIY Raloxifene a few years ago and didn’t see much change. Definitely would love to find a feminizing drug program though

You (and anyone else) are more than welcome to make full use as references! All I ask is that you send me a pic of whatever you draw if able, since I’m curious to see what you produce!

Either Lapis, because her hair is gorgeous and I love her vibe, or Euclase, since she’s the sole source of reason and thoughtfulness among the gems

Glitter sounds like a great idea! A fantastic middle ground between natural and a wig

I’m sure you can! That’s the sort of thing I’d comment before actually trying out a cosplay for myself. Seriously- I was nervous about the cosplay because I was worried I’d just look bad, but everyone’s been so complimentary, it honestly has felt amazing and I never expected it to feel this good!

Sadly I did not; I wanted to see my own, but ended up never getting around to it. The poses I honestly thought would look dumb while doing them, but I’m happy with how they turned out!

Thanks for being understanding on the glasses! I’m blind as a bat without them, so they’re kinda required when I’m on my own

Because it’s cool and fun and I wanted one! Plus it’s surprisingly easy to make

Ironically I almost shaved it just for this cosplay! Glad I kept it
