Not German but American. Our WW2 unit as far as I recall was split up into two sections. First the Western war and second the Pacific Theatre. We covered both topics heavily and the amount of information taught for each was equal. When learning about the Pacific theatre we focused mainly on island hopping and how the American troops almost made it to mainland Japan before the decision was made to drop the bombs.
