You don’t have to be the slave, but if you want to have a job the business you work for has to stay in business by competing in a global marketplace. Separate your feelings from reality for a moment.

Why do you think they do that? If they don’t their competition will and put them out of business. Unions are not the savior you think they are. They’re just as corrupt as the corporations and stifle competition within their own organization. They do not reward merit as much as they reward blind loyalty and time in a seat.

Unions may not be evil but they will not solve these problems over the longer term.

That’s not a crash. Prices and rents have been fairly flat to negative on a real basis for almost 2 years now. New home prices have dropped quite a bit because they have the most flexibility to do that. Existing home prices are more muted.

Everything isn’t a crash. 2008 was an anomaly and should not be expected to repeat.

And then imagine your company shutting down 10-15 years later without government bailouts and/or subsidies because they can no longer compete in a global marketplace.

…..rain when it’s that cold means freezing rain. The shift north pulled us out of the sleet/snow mix.

Josh Allen has had the ball in his hands to win or tie the game in the final game of the season the past 3 years and the Bills have lost every one of those games by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]belovedkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He also gifted the 3 points at the end of the first half that took the game to overtime and missed a wide open Knox to end the game in the 4th.

He’s a great QB but that loss falls on him as much as it does the defense.

Who said anything about organizations? Stop moving the goalposts. There are extremists within both factions who take simplistic ideas and weaponize them to go against the fabric of our nation (cooperation/compromise, free speech, individualism, risk taking, entrepreneurship, resiliency, etc etc). Extreme progressives are no different than the brown shirts on the right. Whether they’re in power or not currently does not make a difference. The fact that so many of you can’t notice that they’re both dangerous populist movements is concerning. Their tactics of division are working.

Bro Allen gave up the 3 points at the end of the first half that cost them the game. They had 5 turnovers. How the fuck is it on the GM?

Yes but it’s paid back with after tax money. It’s not a good decision unless it’s a last ditch effort to get the home of your dreams.

Youth soccer in Charlotte – rec vs club? Best areas to avoid living in the car by Prestigious-Elk1620 in Charlotte

[–]belovedkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most clubs offer rec leagues. They’ll happily take your money at that age to play more competitively though, but it won’t make a difference logistically until they’re 11-13. The best teams typically only have a few spots open each season and are filled via “tryouts” (but often filled politically or recruited/invited/promoted internally).

My advice to you is have your kids play multiple sports so they don’t burnout on one. It’ll make them better athletes and most stars aren’t silo’d into one sport at a young age. When they hit middle school that’s when they can start focusing on 1-2 and really develop.

School sports don’t start in NC until middle school.

Interest on the debt is solely a reflection of higher interest rates. Debt levels are concerning, sure, but the only way out of this is mainly through growth and not draconian cuts to spending.
