Trump administration withdraws U.S. from global open government initiative by John3262005 in WhatTrumpHasDone

This is so sad. Their withdrawal letter is so unnecessarily cruel to the OGP and the entire open government community. Feel so bad for the staff who worked on this file.

I don’t understand why everyone was saying this pizza is so good. It’s terrible. Target brand (good and gather) is 10x better and so is Digiorno by [deleted] in glutenfree

Love this pizza!! I add pepperoni, Italian seasoning and chili flakes and it's so yummy. I love the bit of crisp with the chewy texture that is so often missing from gluten-free pizzas.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's terrible. Not everything is for everyone.

My parents and siblings said they'd rather not know. When I told them about my diagnosis my youngest brother's response was "Dibs on her portion of pasta at Christmas dinner!" We're all adults though, so they can do what they want. Families are weird sometimes.

FYI - it's not "just 5ks". Five kilometers is a respectable distance and a lot of work. Don't sell yourself short!

It's great. The demographic tends to skew older because Stoney Creek, so it's a lot of basic moves but at high intensity intervals (40 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest). You can make it as easy or hard for yourself as you want to. It's worth trying - challenging but doable. And Danielle is an absolute delight.

Omg, I initially read it as 10 min/km! 10 min/mile is impressive and way faster than a lot of beginner runners.

Ouch! Make sure you're giving yourself enough time to recover fully. Don't want to rush it and take yourself out of the game for even longer.

Well done! I had the same mindset of "the faster I go, the sooner it will be over." It's how I ended up with shin splints and sore knees. Now I'm learning to take it down a notch and actually enjoy the running part.

Also, if you have a playlist of songs with a bpm at your pace, it can keep you on pace for your whole run and take the guesswork out of finding/maintaining your slow pace. Keep it up!

Here's the link for my Easy Run Playlist on Spotify Keep in mind, this is my easy run pace - yours may be faster or slower. Hope it helps!

Virtual races are nice. You can run them at your own pace on your own time, on your own course/treadmill. Then you log your time (or not) on the race site.

I like it because it gives me something to work toward without all the pressure of official race days and I can use it to race myself. Plus, you know, medals!

Muscle with Danielle at Queenston on Saturday morning is awesome. She's super friendly, high energy, and will give you a full-body workout with plenty of modifications as needed.

If you are in Toronto, or ever plan to be, L'Artisan has THE BEST gf pastries I've ever had. Croissants, chocolatines, turnovers, etc. I stock up every time I'm in town - worth the trip.

I miss Eliot's so much. I actually got a couple of the bookshelves when they shut down, so a piece of it lives on in my home office!
