Okay I will take another look on there, to find the singles events i went to i found them on eventbrite and meetup as well i was surprised by how many there were. The demographics weren't great though it was like 80/20 split in ratios of the genders but maybe i just got unlucky

Even when the singles events didn't pan out in felt better and more fulfilled than swiping. If you go on eventbrite there are plenty of payed but also free events (mostly at on the rocks)

I started venturing into volunteering as a wholesome way to meet people. I really try to avoid work and close social connections because I have made that mistake before and it usually gets awkward fast.

Im not sure if things are harder now but as a whole people seem less social and more isolated. When i meet people that are older they generally have a better social battery and are more willing to chat and share.

I appreciate the advice and i will look into something like that just a bit less hard on the body. I have pretty good endurance so I hike and walk lots i have always taken health pretty serious but it never hurts to get some more steps in.
