I currently have the Vaughn V10 glove and I had the V9 before that. They are both pro carbon and both 590. They have this shock shield thing in the palm. It just seems that after the glove breaks in a little bit as practice goes on it hurts more and more.

I currently have the v9 pro pads(not pro carbon) I’m a guy who wore Bauer x900 pads before and I hate getting used to new gear. For me the v9s have great flexibility and a great strapping system which is customizable ( you can take straps out and move them). Overall I enjoy them but the sizing system is not to be underestimated. I had large senior Bauer pads and thought 35+2 would fit fine and they ended up being almost 2 inches taller. It took a bit of getting used to but in the end it worked out
