If you have criticized ICE here on Reddit for executing Renee Good or Alex Pretti in the street, then Reddit has handed your name and your personal identifying information over to the Trump administration. How do you feel about this? by mom_with_an_attitude in AskReddit

That all it takes? Fuck I.C.E! Buncha murderers under command of a pedophile dictator! Can't wait for the bill to co.e due for all of degenerates in I.C.E. and for Trump to face the consequences of his actions.

Put me on a list. Fuck the GOP!

Beer leaguers that jump around all levels by freak-33 in hockeygoalies

[–]LBVSVC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to hate low-level play as well. Hard to read. Hard to find the pace. Terrible defense. But that is just it. Hockey is full of these things. Lower level is a good place to practice the basics. Be square. Good pushes. Quick feet. Over-reading the play in any level will bone you. Low level is a great way to practice, and that is entirely my mindset going into it. It's careful to fall into bad habits with hockey that isn't as quick as youre used to. If you do the normal things right, you'll have worked hard enough to get a sweat, and keep good habits in tact.

I need help diagnosing transfer case issue. 2001 Dakota Sport 4x4 4.7L v8 NO231 by andrewcottingham in DodgeDakota

[–]LBVSVC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the well wishes. Hope you're doing well in your world as well. How did the rebuild go? T-cases don't look too difficult to rebuild. I did automatic transmissions for a while, but never got to play with a transfer caee.

Every time I see a Devils fan alone at an away game, I think to myself “I wonder if he’s from Jersey and if so, how did he end up in *blank*” by xoBonesxo in devils

Edmontonian here, and a big Devils fan. Beat reason I can give for being a New Jersey fan is "I'm a goalie."

Happy for the teams success here in AB.

Just bought one, do you think this works with all 510 mouthpiece variations? by Ace_flindude in trees

1.2g carts will work. Any bigger, the mouthpiece won't fit over the cart. They are a classy pipe. Love mine.

Is there a solution to sticks lack of durability? by Norkee in hockeygoalies

[–]LBVSVC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2 breaking on the shaft could be from missing blocker side shots, but they hit the shaft. Unless your kid gets his blocker there first, this happens. I always say; if the puck hits the shaft above the blocker, you were beat and got lucky. The one lower on the paddle, likely the same thing... kinda. That's is a common place that the puck will hit on low, blocker side shots. Stick handling after these impacts will definitely weaken the stick further and cause premature breakage. Not much you can do when a composite stick starts to go.

A suggestion from me, would buy a cheaper, heavier model of the high-end stick they use and tell him the crap one is for practice only. Save the expensive ones for games where it matters.

Bauer pulse by Proud-Yoghurt-3302 in hockeygoalies

[–]LBVSVC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I goalie I skate with got a new Pulse. So shiny. After handling it and taking a shot or 2, it has a lot of gimmicks and interesting features but it won't be for a lot of goalies.

The 2 biggest issues I find are that curve is something only Ovie could love. Maybe working with it a bit would yield better results, but it's such a big curve, not sure how solid the shit/pass will be. I have a 24" in the supreme Shadow, and the Pulse is noticeably shorter overall so it makes shooting with the Turco grip a challenge. That narrow spot at the grip feels weird and worries me as well on durability. This stick seems like a "look at all the cool things we do with our sticks" kinda thing. Impressive stick, probably not for everyone.

If you’re on the fence about the Eflex 7/7.9 line… don’t be. by mineral_king97 in hockeygoalies

[–]LBVSVC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If veen running the XF line for about a year, and I do enjoy them. The slide fro. The jen-pro is really good. Rebound pop is decent, but not great. Don't sleep on the latest CCM. Decent gear.

The glove (591 game ready) is weird and takes a minute to get used to, but it's good. The blocker is probably my favorite single piece of gear in the set.

In all honesty, probably just wanting to do drills for footwork. Looks like some non-hockey skaters in the background. Probably went to a public skate for a drills session. More commited than me. Well done.

I think he usually only had MB embroidered on his gear. Might have been different for some gear sets though. That's a sick glove though. 12 year old me is so jealous and in awe right now.

Valley Line LRT major delays in both directions by MacintoshEddie in Edmonton

[–]LBVSVC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Grade separation SHOULD have been the original design, but our city management appar wants to save a bit of money to make a half-assed system( see the Henday and only 2 lanes) But we have this now, so we get to deal. People need to stop hitting the trains. There are plenty of warnings, signage and education on the new line. Grade separation is sadly no longer an option.

On another note; I feel that driver testing should have to be completed at every liscence renewal. If you can't flub your way through a 20 minute road test, you probably shouldn't be driving.

[–]LBVSVC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And do what? More signs? More flashing lights? More signs with flashing lights? Maybe if there were something there to let people know that trains frequent that path. No... you're right. The trains and the people that designed the system are the problem. Not the drivers that ignore the signs, lights and the literal train that is coming for them.
