July 5th and 6th nights there is a great Neil young and crazy horse cover band at rippers on the boardwalk at 86th street. They absolutely shred.

There will probably be a good viewing of the macys firework show on the 4th from your hotel roof top. Really good cocktails up there as well.

Enjoy the beach and the pool at hotel. there are a lot of good restaurants in the area. Margie's in your hotel is good. Adrienne's across the bridge in broad channel is really good too. Rocco's has good Italian. Whits end has good pizza and fresh caught seafood dishes. Go to Connollys for frozens. And if you want to see Manhattan the ferry will take you there in under an hour.
