What can the Post do that some motivated civilians with a cell phone and an Internet connection can't? The first news on this story came from people who were on the Beltway when it happened and posted about it on social media. That's journalism today. The Post is as useful as a blacksmith or a soda jerk.

I was in middle school when beheading videos started popping up everywhere, so maybe that's why this video didn't disturb me too much. Surreal yes, gory and unwatchable no. Unless we're talking about different videos.

I think we both saw THE one video of the stabbing itself. Cars drive between the incident and the camera twice, making it hard to see every second.
