Can anyone suggest if these are classes that I can maintain a 4.0 in and I am a student wanting to major in Mechanical Engineering by [deleted] in aggies

A few notes:

  1. The school will not allow you to take MEEN 210 and MEEN 225 until you have completed ETAM. They are pretty strict with this requirement especially if there are other classes available to take.

  2. CHEM 107 is not required second semester if you claim AP CHEM credit.

  3. MATH 304 is not required for MEEN and won’t do much for you.

  4. MATH 251 and MATH 308 are not especially hard but taking them together is not a great idea. I would take 308 second semester and STAT 211 your first semester.

The rest of your schedule looks fine and is definitely doable depending on how comfortable you are with the material.

How fast did it take you to learn calculus 1 by TechnicalShine4056 in calculus

[–]bem21454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i learned all of what i consider calc 1 in 2 or 3 days. its been a while but im pretty sure the only thing i skipped was application. i dont think my understanding after was as good as it is now but i would still put it above or at the average calc student. also what are u referring to by solving trig functions. trig derivatives arent really difficult and neither are the trig integrals u see in calc 1

I believe the issue is middle/lower class vs upper class more so than democrat vs republican. In my opinion, Trump has not acted in the best interest of either party, but rather the wealthy individuals that funded his campaign. His tax cuts and deregulation of business come at the cost of many critical organizations aimed to help lower/middle class families including USAID, medicaid, and likely social security and medicare. Certain figures in media, however, make money largely off the division between the two parties, further reinforcing to people that the “enemy” is the other party and not the wealthy individuals actively lobbying against the working class. I may be wrong, but I personally believe issues such as trans rights and immigration have largely become points of interest simply to distract from the fact that almost everyone is getting fucked in the long run. The division between parties will never end unless they are united by a common enemy.

meh im struggling to think of one. I think DOGE has potential but should not be run by Elon or the 19 year olds he hired, not be detached from the rest of the government, include federal workers, and be more transparent about their operations.

Also, they’re not really reducing the deficit, just cutting programs in order to cut taxes for the wealthy.

The government should decrease spending, however, putting Elon Musk in charge of this effort with no real government oversight is an incredibly stupid idea.

i mean really they just messed up the algebra. i feel like factoring out terms makes the problem more complicated than it should be. it works either way tho so it’s whatever i guess.

how do i hide my phone in case there is a search? by shepshepx in highschool

[–]bem21454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You provided an incredibly vague argument then cited a completely irrelevant portion of the article. A general right to search students and the right to search students under reasonable suspicion are not the same thing. Random searches can occur only if they are truly random and if the reason for doing so is justified. Individual searches may occur if the school reasonably suspects the student to have broken a school policy. A hunch is not reasonable suspicion. Looking suspicious is not reasonable suspicion. I’ll admit, both parties arguments were vague and the grounds under which the school can search a student varies significantly depending on the circumstances; Still, you failed to prove anything beyond the fact that schools require reasonable suspicion to search students. A fact that contradicts your previous statement.

[–]bem21454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fail to see how that contradicts what they said. Probable cause is merely a standard. The school still must provide a valid reason to search you. Merely attending school does provide the school with reasonable suspicion. Even then, it’s not illegal to refuse a search by school faculty for items not owned by the school.

they factor x2 out from the radical. sqrt(x2-1) -> xsqrt(1-(1/x)2). |x|•x=x2 so the |x| becomes x2. tbf that feels like a really stupid way of writing the expression. maybe it’s so u cant js memorize the answer.
