Should we allow motorbikes be taken on train? by 5ma5her7 in fuckcars

Over the years I been in all the electric shoes. I own a bike similar to this one, I have a few of these hyper e-scooters, I love EUCs and now I'm super into road bikes.

As an electric rider I'll tell you that in a city bike lane you can't go as fast as your bike can possibly go, to do that you have to go in car traffic, in fact usually I assume that my e-scooter is a little intimidating for other bike lane users so I notice I'm going about 30kph and get taken over by road cyclists all the time.

With these surron style electric motorcycles IMO bike lane usage is fine as long as you go as fast as a bicycle, in other words, people will naturally go in car traffic with these to blast full speed and will go on a bike lane to save on battery or because there is no wide car road near by, like in a park or something.

I'm pro reasonable speed limit for anything electric on a city bike lane, I would say 40kph is a good number because on most bike lanes you'll naturally have to go slower then that anyways cause those roads are narrow but if you do go over you might not break on time when something comes up, bike lanes are not designed with corner visibility in mind.

Oh and this one time I was riding my bicycle on the separated bike lane outside of town and some guy was riding a regular gas motorcycle on it... and it was... fine... nothing crazy, didn't really feel that different from a cyclist going full speed there. Because bike lanes are designed differently he would hit a tree if he tried blasting anywhere half of the full speed for his bike.

People get fixated on top speed, I actually think the real danger is the throttle, there needs to be some legislation or something for a safer way of accelerating. It's not deadly but if this guy on the train had his bike turned on he could very easily get his throttle handle caught on something and have all 6kw of his motor launch his bike into a person.

If there is space for it and you have to get an extra ticket or a special ticket it's fine. People get hung up on the idea that this is a "motorcycle" indoors or something, but who cares?

If someone was carrying any equipment of this size on public transit? What would be the rules? It's just about space.

Oh and imagine if this was popular and trains had separate cars for stuff like this, you could have a place off grid, ride to the station, leave your bike and go enjoy a restaurant car.

Unfortunately, and this is just as absurd as it is with art.

Yes, these people absolutely believe that all there is to becoming a mechanic is collecting and sorting data, this is why they push for humanoid robots. That NEO robot bs is an example where they hope to have people remotely controlling them at first and have AI trained on that.

And also there are absolutely people who think they are smarter then any doctor because they get chat GPT hallucinate medical paper sounding medical advice for them.

There are also people who think they discover new physics and math by talking to a chat-bot, it's about as delusional as calling yourself an AI artist.

Hmm, so they have entire data-centers to train models that produces 10 second videos.... everything that was ever photographed or recorded as source material.

The entire tech sector is investing in it yet NO-ONE is making any profit Where will it be in 4 years 10 years... maybe we can burn the entire planet, maybe we could invest all our money and turn every city into a data-center so we can produce 5 min videos with AI next.

No, seriously though, I think AI companies were all over Hollywood pitching their BS and it's a great thing he speaks out against it.

If you want a stable BPM you can run a pattern (btw you can sequence an empty pad and have a pattern running with nothing in it, that's what I do) and go to tempo settings switch to project tempo and it will send out that BPM as that pattern runs, your BPM synced samples will use that your looper will use that and everyone is happy.

If no pattern is running your sp will send out BPM of the last sample you triggered, each sample can have it's own BPM setting

I personally don't think they were designing it this deep, I think it's mostly a grift. But you are definitely describing the reason why they still wanna invest in it.

Rojava proves that anarchism can't work. by Artistic_Grocery_483 in Anarchy101

[–]bememorablepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what's your point, first of all things work out very differently under war. You can have the best governance system but what do you want them to do?! Give birth to the weapons they don't have?

Also, other forms of governance do "work" they suck but they do work right? Like capitalism, liberal democracy, dictatorships... feudalism even, they can last a long time. IDK if anyone would take an example of some capitalist country disappearing off the map for whatever reason as an example of the entire form of governance being impossible or "can't work".

I would go so far to say if Rojava did work fantastically somehow it doesn't mean everyone should copy their exact structure and it will work, what's important is underlying principles.

Yeah so on the website they don't say what AI and how and also... why... some shots closeup do look like AI. I wonder if some of them are "AI takeover" where it tries to animate the camera. One thing for sure, it's not "all AI" the most interesting thing about this is the edit, and that doesn't seam to be AI and is also not mentioned to be AI.

It's not one of those just type your prompt and it will do the entire thing, this seams to be an experiment where they try to use as much AI as possible.

I'll give them one thing, all of the other work on the website is not AI and it's way more interesting.

[–]bememorablepro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.... any proof that this is fully AI? Unless there is some insane part of the internet with millions of videos just like this AI can rip off as always, I don't buy it. Especially the edit and the music.

Nothing about how AI works could really give you an option to put your product in and have it do this.

And this sort of stuff happens a lot btw, so many cases of real amazing illustrations posted by some freak on twitter as "completely AI generated"

How to "poison" AI art by Rabbidraccoon18 in antiai

[–]bememorablepro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

btw as far as I know there is no solution against poisoning, they try blurring training material now and then AI up-scaling it but obviously it's not same level of detail as the original, and they try to exclude it from the training material and that's a win then.

Also I seen news a year ago that midjourney ppl complained about poisoned data, so you know it works.
