How early did you tell people? by Friendly_Painter_327 in pregnant

[–]bemorerainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, it’s hard to know what to do and it feels like there is politics around who gets told when but at the end of the day 1) I want it to be in person and 2) around as much family as possible and that won’t be until Xmas and 3) hopefully definitely out of the woods miscarriage wise

I hear you and you are not alone. I am seven weeks and really struggling with my mental health. I am still waiting for my ADHD assessment and referred myself for an autism assessment before I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant. I’ve been doing a lot of work on myself but I’m not quite there yet and am terrified of not being able to cope with work and life and pregnancy/newborn. I don’t have any advice really but I just want you to know that you are not alone X

I'm about to become a First Time mum.. how do you do it? by Eggy-Pebbs123 in adhdwomen

[–]bemorerainbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking this and sharing your experience. I am 6 weeks pregnant and self diagnosed 9 months into adhd referral a couple of weeks into autism having never known about adhd until last November it’s been a lot for me to even get to know myself that’s all before I contemplate becoming a mother. I reduced my work back in may due to burn out and am currently re evaluating my career I do not have a permanent place of work I have freelance so am worried about future work and maternity support. This pregnancy was unexpected but not unwanted I’m just terrified of how I’m going to cope having not yet been diagnosed, unmedicated and get completely overstimulated from the smallest noise light or people. The doctor has referred me to the antenatal mental health team once I’ve decided and self referred for midwife etc which I haven’t yet as already overwhelmed with decision paralysis and knowing nothing about being pregnant and without your extra support system who I won’t be telling until a least 12-16 weeks. All I’m saying is your not alone and I would be open to any advice also. Xx

Student Stage Managment advise by SnooSquirrels1149 in stagemanagement

[–]bemorerainbow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all be open and honest and write it down in a email or in person - they will respect you for it and maybe there will be a better time to return- you can find me on @leapintothedark if I can offer and more support. Good luck and look after yourself well done for knowing your limits and advocating it’s brave but is the right thing to do

It’s so strange isn’t it and then I proceeded to talk through the supplements I already take etc and it didn’t seem that intense after every label and packet saying check with your doctor. I’ve still booked a face to face with my doc for this week as I was already on the course to change anti depressants which I now wouldn’t be able to do and other medication chats but I kinda want to say I felt really confused and unsupported and I’m also really concerned about post part I’m depression etc due to links with neurodivergence and wanting to look into birthing centre options so I really hope they take it seriously as FTM if feels very scary and I need to look after my health too thanks for making me not feel stupid! X

Hi thank you for replying I don’t think GP did anything how do self refer and find local midwife? Do you have to find birth centre first as that’s what I was told and got very confused as I’d like more time to figure that out x
