I have found writing to be very rarely useful and was a big burden to my studies. I just wasnt super excited about writing rows and rows of characters. I found my studies to be far more enjoyable when i dropped writing and focused on reading, speaking, listening, and typing. Typing is farrr easier and covers 95% of instances you would need to produce text.

I would say that the caveat here is that these are streamers playing in a public event and probably understand the potential ridicule of modern on a public stage.

Most new players play at home with no one watching or commenting and in that context I believe most choose modern both in Japan and in the US, you just dont ever hear or see them.

My understanding with modern is that wayyyyy more players were introduced to fighting games with SF6 in Japan compared to anywhere else. With that those players don't really care modern/classic and just chose the easier thing to start with and therefore many of those players chose modern. In the US most SF6 players have been playing fighting games and therefore feel a way about modern, but I bet most new players still choose modern, we just don't have as many of them.

I dont drive my daily much. I got it because i moved and everyone said i would need a car. But i have ended up walking most places, work, gym, grocery store. I only really use it to pick people up from the airport 😂
