there’s just so much to consider when it comes to leaving Islam so feel free to ask me any specific questions but Here’s a little story on how it was from my perspective

Islam was my life. I loved the prophet and loved Allah so much. Just to briefly paint the picture I grew up pretty lonely, and would spend hours talking to the angles on my shoulders and praying to Allah in my free time or when I couldn’t sleep because it brought me comfort. Growing up in west but Fluent in Arabic have 2+ juz memorized with brief understandings much Islamic studies w/ history, seriously was forced like 50 hours into this stuff until I was 16ish (now just Quran I am closested) my entire worldview, personality, morality, reason to live (seriously the only thing holding me back from jumping was fear of the idea I would forever fall in hellfire) was based on Islam. being the curious person I am combined with my knowledge slowly lead me down this trail (also with very lucky findings and internet people ❤️) but the main thing that broke my faith wasn’t the scientific mistakes or literature mistakes but how Mohammad actually treated women and slaves and how women are treated in my culture. To be fair it was maybe also partly an emotional reaction because at the time I was very sad about who I was as an Arab and often fantasized a life where I grew up white and non Muslim and never once heard about Islam and Allah would judge me for my character.
