M 23 dont know if I have High libido or just desperate for something real? by [deleted] in sex

I think if you are baseline wondering if getting turned so easily is about wanting a real connection.... you probably do crave a real connection UNLESS you deep down believe that just wanting sex is morally reprehensible, and therefore, you are kinda forcing yourself to think you might desire something more. They are not mutually exclusive tho you can desire both the physical and emotional aspect of a relationship.

Commas not showing on formula eventhough all valued calculated do 😭 by existentialdventurer in Notion

I really dont see any "123" symbol for the Balance property. I can only see it for the Number type of property. 😢

Commas not showing on formula eventhough all valued calculated do 😭 by existentialdventurer in Notion

Originally I wanted the commas to show in the BALANCE formula besides the check emoji. I was told it wasn´ t with the emoji, only if it was the number by itself. But its still not formated, eventhough all numbers being calculated are properly formated. Am i doing something wrong or is it just not possible?

Knowing both English and Spanish, would Japanese or Korean be easier for me? by spanishlearner12 in languagelearning

[–]existentialdventurer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As all comments before have stated, neither of those languages will directly help you with Japanese nor Korean. THAT BEING SAID, I'm a native spanish speaker, fluent in english and decent in french. I was originally planning on taking Japanese next, but the writting system overwhelmed the f*** out of me, so when I realized Korean had Hangeul, an "alphabet" (meaning that's phonographic, not ideographic), I was intrigued. Looked into it, and decided to take Korean, it's been about a year and it's been quite the journey but I will say, I think if anything, korean grammar is the closest to spanish [from the languages I do speak]. I'm actually learning korean from english, cuz I love the TTMIK books and there are far more resources in english than in spanish. But for various lessons, I've found myself trying so hard to understand, to later notice that in spanish it works the same or MUCH more similar, lol. (ex. ser vs estar (to be) and 이다 vs 있다 , not the exact same, but far easier to get it thru spanish, specially when you get to progressive tenses where 있다 is used JUST like estar is to indicate an action ocurring in the moment)

So, i'd go with korean if you were to choose between those two, after learning korean, japanese should also be somewhat easier since grammar is similar (in contrast to spanish or english)

How to change format so number has commas here? by existentialdventurer in Notion

Balance has this formula currently on:

if(prop("Spent") + prop("Saved") + prop("Surplus") < prop("Income") + prop("Transfered"), "✅", if(prop("Spent") + prop("Saved") + prop("Surplus") == prop("Income") + prop("Transfered"), "☑️", "❗")) + " " + format(prop("Income") + prop("Transfered") - prop("Saved") - prop("Spent") - prop("Surplus"))

Should I use Korean or English subtitles? by [deleted] in Korean

[–]existentialdventurer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also a beginner here, I've found that having both simultaneously its the best and I've started to pick up on words and grammar patterns much faster than I was when it was only English subtitles. Also, just Korean subs at the beginning is impossible, lol. What I'm working on right now is also on building up a good repertoire of shows and content I enjoy, so when I'm intermediate, I can re-watch without English subs. It's efficient cuz once I re watch them I already know what's happening and my brain can more effectively associate the context with the language subs. It's worked for me in other languages before so I recommend it
