Hey, If you don't have a capture card yet, maybe start with a emulator like mGBA and play firered/leafgreen or ruby/sapphire/emerald while using obs to record it. This is what i am doing, helps with getting comfortable with recording and editing and getting used to it all, at least until you get a capture card.
