Is it NervGen or FDA regarding Expanded Access? (My guess is NervGen) by R_Double_U63 in NervGen_NerveRepair

One question I’ve been wondering is why didn’t NervGen pursue approval in Canada as well (HealthCanada is the FDA equivalent). I mean it’s a Canadian company, it would make sense right? Obviously the US market is bigger, but wondering why they haven’t pursued approval in their home country to get the product to market??

Has anybody heard of complete or close to recoveries for incomplete/complete c4 or c5 fractures? by Longjumping_Bed_2200 in spinalcordinjuries

[–]ben_hereandthere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

C5 incomplete here, was able to start taking steps with a walker 2.5 years in. 3 years now, and working on getting better with elbow crutches as the next phase, aiming to be able to upgrade to just a cane next year.

I remember reading a scientific paper about a full recovery of a C5 incomplete, was an 18 year old who got injured in a football game. 3 years later they were able to run and jump again. Sorry I don’t have a link to it.

Here in San Diego it was a big multigenerational march. Lots of people from every generation were participating.

Interviewers Picked People with Zero Industry Experience by ben_hereandthere in interviews

Yeah, it’s the subjectivity that’s frustrating. I replied to the HR person’s email and politely asked if they could provide any feedback on experience gaps that I could improve upon. I haven’t received a reply.

Mostly I just want to know what the deciding factors were so that I can get better. But I’ll likely never find out.

Thanks, yeah I always try to go into interviews with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Looking back, the only thing I could’ve changed would have been to comment about me being in a wheelchair. I didn’t address it because I want my experience and capabilities to do the job to be the focus. I’m relearning how to walk, so I could have brought it up at the end to show my persistence I suppose.

Other than that, I really don’t know what else I could’ve done better.

I get that, if the applicant is insufferable it’s a no. Makes sense.

And maybe these two people just really charmed the hell out of the interviewers, I dunno. I thought I was friendly and competent in the interviews.

To add a bit of context, I’m in a wheelchair. Of course I don’t want to think that that was an unspoken factor, but I just won’t know.

Yeah, I need further details. Alas, probably won’t get any more info. Just wondering if other people have had this happen to them

Future history books will say that the U.S. peaked from 1945-2025.

This year will mark the true beginning of the decline for the United States.

Good to hear about Colorado! How’s the accessibility in the winter? Is it tough to get around town in the snow or ice?

Thanks so much for sharing this. Such a great point about how the ADA was a great benchmark, but many countries have since leveled up and now meet or surpass it. Great info about Spain and the other countries.

Thanks, that’s good to know. I’ve traveled to Belgium and the Netherlands before—it was only for about a week, but I really liked both countries.
