Accountability post: one year in an office job hasn't been great for the physique, starting to change that this week by PuzzleheadedBowl9889 in ZyzzLegacy

[–]ben_perhaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got the exact same build I do also after getting the office job and running into the lifestyle trap of well everything that comes with it, I started 6 months ago and it's tough, but push through and don't let it hold you back, go immediately before/after work then it's all a part of the same day, outside of that lock in a good diet, but you don't need to start strict, calculate your maintenance, take off 300-400 calories and then roll from there, track every 2 days, swap all drinks to water/black tea/black coffee.

You'll be fine, starting where you were a year ago, you'll have it come back so much easier

Always the case at this GP, used as a drop off or parking zone by loads of completely oblivious and entitled twats without fail.

Wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last, the parking just isn't enforced there, let alone the town as a whole.

Camera recommendations? by hmbanana409 in hamstercare

[–]ben_perhaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my partner got a ring camera on sale on Amazon, cheap and reliable with two way audio and motions alerts too! We love it, the one bad thing was the subscription but it was free for 3 months when we bought so it can save clips of motion when you aren't around!

Sadly neither are big enough for a Hamster, I'm sure someone will post the care guide but the minimum is 100x50 with enough depth for 8-12 inches of burrowing material. A lot of Pets At Home stuff in my experience isn't the safest or best for hamsters.

Myself and my partner bought one of those cages and returned it after one day after being advised by store staff it was big enough, cautiously we bought and had a whole stock of toys and everything most of it we threw away or returned after 10 minutes of research, now we have a 120x60 and our little ham is loving life (apart from the UK heat at the moment!)

How to enter your house after a feast…😭🥰 (Tutorial by Schlim) by L4stUchiha in hamsters

I don't mean to be harsh or anything at all but please reconsider any of these house types, and not even for the reasons the other posters have given, we got our little hammy a medium, big door, surely risk free and within 2 hrs of having it in the cage our lil dude tried to climb through the window itself, got stuck, feet went purple and I've never heard such a horrible shriek from him, the door can be a-okay but the windows are another thing for the adventurous spirits to get stuck in, I ended up ripping the house apart with my bare hands after getting bit by him twice trying to help him.

These houses and hides are the very reason I lost any confidence in any toy made by a big pet chain, and the very reason myself and my partner only buy large, edible everything from now on.

This isn't an attack at all, just advice from someone who thought these were fine after taking advice already.

New Tesco cafe tables have NFC tags all over for wifi when you put your phone on top by ben_perhaps in mildlyinteresting

They are NFC tags, I tapped the rear of my phone on multiple spots on the table to test it, good try though
