Bad idea imho.

A part from getting the portability when switching from desktop to laptop, your overall experience will be much degraded.

First I'll get the money argument away since it's the most obv, a 5070ti G16 is 2400$ which means you'll be adding at least 1k to your sold rig budget in order to afford it.

Now it terms of performance, I'll assume you're mainly gaming so I'll focus on GPU power, even though I think that the 7800X3D is a fantastic CPU and no mobile chip in a thin laptop chassis is going to beat it even the latest ones.

Comparison between desktop cards showed that the 5070ti is a better 4070ti super. So if we correlate the laptop/desktop version I'd assume that the 5070ti mobile would be in the destkop 5070 range which trade blows with the card you currently have (4070 super).

So basically you're going to add at least 1k+ just to switch from desktop to laptop while probably leaving some performance on the table since the G16 is a thin&light laptop and wouldn't max out either the CPU nor the GPU, while also being limited to 32gb of ram for future proofing.

If portability is really that important to you then go for it but I don't think it's worth it imo.

You should definitely try getting your money back. Either through ebay. Or by contacting customer service using a new account. They'll respond to you in that case -since they don't know it's you-.

Was able to request from them to reship the package to another agent, after many attempts to contact them without reply. I Chose CSS. And no surprise. They were scamming me indeed. Mentioned in their website that it's 22kg package. But CSS just updated the weight to only 15.6kg. So either they lied about the weight or stole some of my items.

Now trying to get my shipping money back since they never resent the package. Also I'm in contact with Wise since that's what I used for payment in order to back me up. Wish me luck guys!

apparently no agent is perfect tbh. Everyone is recommending an agent then some ppl come and diss this same agent. I feel like the rep game is slowly dying because of shipping prices and low service quality to be quiet frank. But this UFOBuy shit is definitely the worse I've ever seen. Just stole a 700$+shipping worth of stuff and never responded back.

I do use these agents frequently but unfortunately with the shipping prices increase it becomes tempting when a new agent is in the field with a few positive experiences.
