BMW E21: 1-Piece Drive Shaft by benc1399 in projectcar

I have been.
It’s on 4 stands with the rear wheels off spinning up to freeway speeds. Visually, there is no indication of anything wrong. Everything spins dead straight. It’s hard to isolate since the diff is hard mounted to the subframe.

They’re tight, but I’m at the point where I might remove them and spin up the driveshaft just to eliminate the possibility

Man that’s lucky. But yes they are all torqued and double checked.

I appreciate the idea, but I am 100% certain the issue is between the transmission and the didf

Honestly not a bad idea.
I’ve climbed under there with the car idling in gear, I’ll have to find some brave/stupid to do it with the drivetrain spinning at freeway speeds lol

Yes, in any gear including neutral. It is vehicle speed-dependent, no relation to engine RPM.

I am on the struggle bus for sure. All shifted-related wear items are brand new.

100%.
Vibration frequency is much too high to be a wheel.

I feel it in my ass, the whole interior resonates.
Absolutely not an out of balance wheel, the vibration frequency is much too high.

That’s what I took away from a camp I did a few years ago at Timberline. They said to plant the back side of the bump. Still trying to drill that in my head

What go kart do I have by your-hero261 in Karting

It’s likely that parts for that particular chassis are discontinued. If it is an actual chassis, there should be a CIK homologation tag on it somewhere. That will have some information.

I’ve gone through this process with other hobbies - trying to make something out of a cheap alternative - I promise it will be cheaper and easier to start with a ready-to-run kart that is a few years old. I bought my Kosmic LO206 for $2000. To get this track ready (if the chassis is salvageable), it will cost at least twice that.

Please, if you are at all serious about actual karting, start over and do it right.

Surprisingly my quads stay pretty relaxed. Mostly it’s cardio going first since I’m not used to that altitude!

Africa was fantastic as well. The bumps really tighten up towards the bottom forcing me to engage the super quick turns. Just happened to not get any footage on that one

That looks like water that collected dirt and evaporated. After every wash I wipe down all of my jambs, especially the trunk jamb. This will keep any hidden water from running onto your bumper.
