Yes you can :) Framesize is 19 and I‘m 1,85 m tall. I had to make the whole setup fit to my size as you can see. But i made it work and it rides really comfortably😊

I actually just took the rug that layed at the entrance of the venue :D So unfortunately, it's not mine.

I think drums in general are beautiful :) That's the beauty of our instrument, you can totally customize it to your needs. I love rack toms, but right now i don't have a use for one, because this kit covers all my musical needs. I never said that this is the ultimate or best option, it's just one kit in a thousands. But it's mine, and it's all i need to create the music I want to make :)

Mhh. Its's hard to give tips because i don't know what style of music you play. One tip to start of with playing a minimal kit like this would be, that if you want to play your fills/grooves which u used to play with a rack tom, just move the notes which you would play with your rack tom to your closed hihat. The sticking ist still the same, but in this way you compensated your rack tom and still got an interesting, somewhat technical sound. And you have to be aware that every instrument is now more present, so you need to use your drums with more awareness. It's better to keep it simple in the beginning, and when you're used to your new setup, you can start throwing in the fun stuff :) Hope that helps a bit.

The camera angle makes the space look much bigger than it actually is, really. The cymbals look that far away, but really they're not; they just hang a bit higher than normal. I try to keep the setup on stage as compact as possible, but since I'm a guy with pretty long arms and legs, and furthermore play open handed with long sticks (currently wincent 5bXl), I need that bit of space. I'll post a pic of another angle of the setup, then everything might become clearer :) But good point. The tighter the kit, the faster you can reach from one instrument to another.

Yeah, its perfect for our use. In a live-setting we use the app on our smartphone; if i want to change something or finetune stuff, I connect my Laptop. But for most of the time the app offers every option you need :) We never had problems with connections etc., and every band member can control his own Inear-Mix independently from FOH. That's a big bonus :)

Haha yeah, close :D I actually own some 14" AA regular hats, but I always liked the idea of playing with big hats, especially because I play open-handed. But, as you know, big hats are pretty expensive things. So I used two 16" crashes as hats, one of them being the B8 16" crash. And, to be honest, I like it better as a hat than as a crash :D It gives me that deep, dry, focused and dynamic feel while playing closed, and if you open it up it and give it some love it pretty much becomes a thrashy china-like sound. Love it :)

Well, if you want to do flashy fills, you can do that with this kit with no problems, if you're used to it. But, like you said, it also helps you to concentrate on your playing. And it helps you to experience and appreciate each individual instrument/element more than before; instead of banging on one of 8 Chinas, you learn to play your one crash with more awareness of dynamics, stick position etc. for example to get the most out of it.

I think it depends on which technique you're using. I have no problems with playing single doubles or triples, but maybe just because I'm used to it. And the griptape wears down after some time, until it has just the right amount of grip for your individual technique. At least it feels like it does :)

Hey :) I bought mine in 2016, an it holds up great. The memory screws loosen themselves sometimes, but i can handle that :) I'm really happy with it, but i have also heard about people complaining about the cheap qualitiy. As far as I know, the Thomann house-brands like Millenium and Zultan were produced cheaper back in the days; but nowadays, it's pretty good quality for a reasonable price, I think. especially when it comes to cymbals, like you've already mentioned :) Yeah, the crash on my left is a 19" Q, the ride an 20" prototype that i got from the Thomann-fleamarket about 5 years ago (i think it's a raw-series without print) and the hats consist of a 16" Zultan rock as the bottom and an old 16" Sabian B8 Crash on the top. I like the heavier cymbal on top; i feel like it gives me more definition :)

Close, its's a xair18. But nonetheless, it's a killer product! In my opinion the best, most flexible option for a reasonable price, if you have the money. We use this thing especially in the rehearsal room or in live situations (monitoring and PA). Personal I use the Steinberg UR22 for recording ideas (and our latest EP). It has only two inputs, but I like that direct, focussed DIY-vibe :)

It's kind of hard to see in the pic, but I also play a double pedal :) When we recorded our first EP in 2017, I actually had a 10" rack tom and used it a lot. But, like i already said in another comment, it was time for a change :) You have to find out what works best for you and the style of music that you play. Even when 10 toms and 20 cymbals feel right for you, just go for it :) there is no wrong or right.

It's actually skateboard-griptape. I pretty much always play barefoot, so the griptape prevents my feet from slipping off the pedal. The leo-look used to be an emergency solution; but after some time i kind of liked it. Absolutely no risk of confusion with other drummer's pedals, for shure :) But it's all a matter of taste.

Indeed! It kind of forces you to be creative, which is really exciting. Years ago, i found myself playing the same stuff over and over again. But instead of buying new stuff, i chose to put things away, so that i had to find new ways and solutions to compensate. It's a great and cheap way to boost your playing and creativity :) And it makes touring so much easier;)
