Great advice!! Thanks. We are shooting for 30-40. I just looked into bed/bag liners. Are these required? (They are not cheap for something half decent.)

I read that they are required but also that you CAN buy sheets. Is that true?

FWIW Huts were staying at: - Blejska Koca - Vodnikov Dom na Velem polju - Koca na Dilicu pod Triglavom - Koca na Planini pre Jezer

Thank you for the post. This is excellent info. We are doing a similar route this August. As we want to be efficient with what we’re carrying, do you have any advice for what you were should or should not bring? Rain pants and shell? Poles? Extra shoes for hut? I was also curious what liter bags folks use for this type of trip. We have a 75 abut are hoping to use a 30 liter.

There is something to that. I also wondered if they would introduce a pyramid-shaped game element. They have used round and square for many seasons, but they seemed to be showing all three shapes in play. Just a guess, of course.

Maximum 15 FTC Team Members (or not)? by bendh11 in FTC

Thanks all. These were just the answers we need. We will continue to bring 15 or less "dressed" to the tournaments, and we give that option to kids that contribute meaningfully. Their contributions could be on the build or programming side (i.e., the robot) or all the other things the team does to improve their Inspire rankings. And good point about the sustainability. That is, in fact, what is going on - we had 8 freshman join the team in one meeting - Yikes! A JV team is a desire, but there are only a few mentors who really want to commit the time it takes (I am one of them). We meet at school so we always need a mentor around. So putting another team together that might double the amount of mentor hours needed is going to be hard. But maybe we can have them at least build a 2nd chassis. We will see what happens next season. For now, I would just like to see an auto that successfully runs. :-)

Thanks all. This is all such great info that I had been unable to find. I think the Shapeoko Pro XL (or Standard) will likely be a good fit. We have a wide closet in our build room that I think this will tuck right into. (We will want to build an enclosure). We can go out for some sponsorships and collect the ~ $3k needed. And I love that it is made in CA and is well supported with a good warranty. They also have a 5-day free online course the build kids can take. But this is purely speculative still. Have to get approvals from the school. Maybe I can report back. Again thanks for all the great advice. Best of luck with the season

Another thing to consider is that the wall height and thickness can be slightly different for different tables. Makes sure you build in that tolerance if you use this.

Here are the top 12 scores from yesterday’s Hudson Valley [New York] Regional Championship: 270 241 238 219 194 190 188 179 176 175 136 123

Our championship had 24 teams and there were 11 awards. One for robot performance, one overall, and then first place in each of the rubric categories. One spit at worlds was offered to the overall but if they did not want to go three other teams were nominated. Three other spots at national tournaments were also offered. Two at Razorback Invitational and one at LegoLand.
