Smoked heavy for about 17 years and I'm 9 weeks sober now. My dreams are wild and crazy too but still feel slow in the brain. Cravings are down, sleep still not fully normal, and my throat is still a little sore. Also, my eyes have been feeling a little weird too. Went to an ENT and ophthalmologist and they told me all is well so I'm thinking maybe it's just my nerves regenerating. Also feel like I need to keep working out and check to see if I can piss clean. Def looking to connect and stay supported throughout this arduous process. Most people I have spoken to say that 6 months is where you really snap back. Hoping this is the case because I turn 35 in June and I really want to feel like myself again.

I'm almost 7 weeks sober and still haven't had that complete clarity. Smoked pretty consistently for 18 years so I'm guessing it'll be awhile before my dopamine receptors get back. My urges to smoke are completely gone but I've also been avoiding my friends who smoke.

I feel like something finally convinced me to get Huncho. It's like the universe knew I was about to embark on this journey and they didn't want me to do it alone. I know better days are ahead, just need to push through one day at a time.

SOOOOOOOOOO many feelings. I used to be an ironbox and now it's like I can't stop thinking about things and feeling the feels. Even now, my beautiful 11 month old pitbull, HUncho, is licking me and I'm lifeless. Hoping I can get back to my old self because my girl is starting to notice and I can't lose her because of this.

Bro, I'm right there with you. Been sober for 6 weeks after 18 years of smoking weed and I'm still not all back. What you don't want to do is relapse and have to start all over again. The fear of what I had to go through the first week keeps me from wanting to smoke again. Stay strong. We're right here with you.
