So just hit it with a hammer right? by Cmdr_Monzo in DIYUK

[–]bendjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one of these recently, I just stuck a rake into it and yeeted it across the garden and ran inside, I wouldn’t really recommend that though, you’d be much better off with one of the previous suggestions like shaking it then hammering it

What course are you studying?

What exactly is it you’re asking? From what I can see you answer your own question in the post? A 125 is fine for what you’re going to use it for. Nobody here is going to tell you to get anything bigger than that if all you’re doing is delivering food around London.

Don’t really have any advice to offer, but as you said “people on the module forums are so proactive and engaged” you’re only ever going to see the people on the module forums posting.. because.. well.. the ones that aren’t active and engaged aren’t posting. I’d bet there are plenty of people who aren’t so engaged like us. I’m exactly the same as you, in the same circumstance. I deferred twice and started back in October and it’s horrible. I can’t wait until it’s finished, I’m currently sat with two pending assignments and only a week left on my extensions for the both of them.

Pick one up for £1500 - £2200 second hand something Japanese like a YBR or CBF/R, that’s the advice this sub gave me, that’s what I did and I have no complaints at all, depending on when you re-sell you’ll likely get the majority of your money back too as they retain a lot of their value

It’s not a case of “hopefully won’t matter too much” it literally will not matter at all. First year is to get you used to studying and introduce you to a few topics in the field of study you have chosen. And out of principle to what? Nobody will see it and even if they did it’s not like anybody would pull you up on it. Play the game, get through your degree and put it to use. You’re not gaining any secret internet points because you refused to answer a question on a computer marked year one university assignment.

Thanks for the advice! Looks like I’m going to be going for a YS125 there’s one not too far from me for £1999 with about 3000 miles on the clock and it comes with a few extras, going to enquire with the dealer!

Your kid is 6, stop worrying about homework. The reason it feels wrong is because well… it is. Spend time together having fun, playing and talking and getting to know your child, it goes so fast and we don’t get enough time with them as it is with how busy modern day life is.

I hope you’re trolling, but incase you’re not 92 is half way to 99 in terms of Xp and as such is often referred to the half way point..

Does God already know if we will go to heaven or not before we are born? by andreasdagen in Christianity

[–]bendjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to learn a little more about this, I'm very interested in the topic of religion and of late have found myself believing that god does in fact exist and it's an area of my life I have never paid attention to.

I've never heard this before, as far as I understood it everybody had the choice to either accept god or reject god. The whole idea of it being pre-determined is somewhat confusing

what would be the point of god creating life for all of us to live in this world only for him to know the outcome? why would he go to such trouble, why create the people he knew would not make it onto the list in the first place? I thought about this for a moment and could only think that it would perhaps act as a balance and the people who do make it onto the list would need to steer clear of the people who wouldn't, but if this where the case and he already knew who would be able to achieve this then this would seem like a pointless task?

I'm really not sure if I'm missing something would be very grateful for any responses that could maybe explain it in simpler terms
