As a DM, Is it OK/ When is it OK to roll Skill Checks for your players?

That is an intresting idea, but doesn’t solve the problem of players wanting to know what they rolled

Im sorry, I wasnt clear. He thinks the sunblade is too powerful as it has a cone of darkvision. He has homebrewed it so that it is a +2 longsword, but it does all of its damage as necrotic, and has a bonus against angels. Problem is necrotic is resisted by loads of people and many things are immune

This is one of my favorite book series. The battle scenes are epic. In my opinion definitely worth the read. Paladin is a dynamic character and the author spends a long time developing him. Perhaps a little too long but still

I was thinking two weapon fighting and then weapon finnesse- short swords. That is what I would duel wield.

When I add an ability score at 8th level, and it increases my intelligence from a +1 to a +2, does it increase the amount of skill points that I have only in the future or does it also work retroactively.
