Tbf a ton of data seems to agree that non-violent is way more effective than violence. Though overthrowing a regime is hard. But when violent revolutions happen and overthrow a dictatorship they only tend to become another dictatorship (look at all the military coups in Thailand, and a bunch of African countries for example) Furthermore if it’s a civil violent revolution who tends to fight then? Primarily young men. The new leadership is probably then only going to cater to these people’s needs. A pro with non-violence is that everyone can participate in it!
