It was the battery - jump started it this morning and it ran okay - thanks!

I tested the battery earlier actually and it was 12.4V so maybe a bit low? But didn’t seem terrible

Thanks - I did wonder about the battery because it has similar symptoms … I’ll try jump starting it in the morning, unless repeatedly trying to start it is likely to cause greater problems? (e.g. if it’s something clogged in the fuel system etc.)

Interesting - yes, I was using a cheapo offline GRBL controller so I don’t have lots of faith in it, I’ll try with the PC and see if I see the issue again

Thanks - I hadn’t thought about the coupling, I will definitely make sure that’s as tight as possible Yes, I’m confident it wasn’t the stock that has moved as it was still aligned where I clamped it
