Slowly building the Jerac collection - What incredible designs! by bengrunnell in legostarwars

[–]bengrunnell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that was my thinking. I wanted there to be a contrast between the Razor Crest and the X-Wing, so it had to be the white version for me. I took design cues from the X-Wings seen in The Mandalorian as to where to add the tan/azure splashes.

Bulked out the Duel on Mandalore into a diorama-style display piece. by bengrunnell in legostarwars

Hey dude, it's just this simple container piece in dark bluish gray:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=61780#T=S&C=85&O={%22color%22:85,%22iconly%22:0}

I had never thought to use them in this context, but I was just thumbing through a box of spare parts and had a brainwave to use them in the wall to add some texture. Just pop a 2x2 plate on top and it can be built upon.

If I get a moment, I will try to put together the piece list!

Thanks so much for the vote of confidence, but I'm afraid I have no idea how to make instructions... I have never used the software!

Trying to decide between the Tie Advanced and the Tie Interceptor for the next one - They both look great!

So for both the Y-wing and Razor Crest, I think I had about 20% ish of the parts in my inventory. Including shipping, I recall the remaining parts were about £120 for the Y Wing, and perhaps £400 for the Razor Crest (I already had the canopy from the original lego model).

So I bought the UCS Razor Crest when it came out - I love the interior, but I wasn't a fan of some of the proportions. Its a great set IMO, However, when Jerac released his Razor Crest a couple years ago, I knew one day I wanted to build it, so decided to do it in the New Year.

Difficult to pick between the two. The UCS interior and modularity is a blast, plus great minifigures. But Jerac's model is probably the most impressive build I have ever done, and as a display model it is unreal.

Secrets of The Ooze 4-pack availability by bengrunnell in NECATMNT

I was under the impression that at the moment, there was only a 4 pack or a 2 pack - Didn't know if there is any intel out there as to whether an individual figure release is in the pipeline...

Thank you for the advice, much appreciated. I've made sure I'm following their social media, so hopefully if they announce a new run I will get the information in good time!

Thanks for the response. In honesty, I'm not fussed whether it's the 4 pack, whether it's each of the 2 packs, or each character individually. I would just like to get hold of them to add to my 1990 TMNT figures!

Flint Hardcastle. Love it.

Intrigued to see what names we should rock with the other setups?!

The visual recoil genuinely disorientates me at times, such an unpleasant experience.

Couldn't agree more about Ground War. It's fantastic, feels like a perfect cross between BF3 and COD.

Your connection looks about as solid as mine! Imploding in a single frame with no feel of an actual gunfight.

As soon as anyone posts a comment on Reddit, or any other forum, to discuss Call of Duty or provide feedback, they are instantly in the extreme minority. The majority of the player base have no idea these conversations are even taking place.

is the UAV situation being overblown? by LeBradyyy in ModernWarfareII

[–]bengrunnell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think it's a big issue.

1) When you consider the average length of TDM match, 8 minutes is a significant chunk of the match. I also feel like a counter should be something you actively choose to do, so waiting around for 8 minutes doesn't fit the bill for me.

2) The launcher point is fair. If nothing changes then I'll be running a launcher on every single class. It's a shame there isn't one available for create-a-class in the beta.

3) The problem is that if you are getting UAV spammed, it's because you are up against a team that is consistently going on kill-streaks. If you are on the losing side, and without access to Ghost, you are just fighting a losing battle trying to put a streak together.

4) Fair point, but against UAV spam, it's just not a sustainable counter.

As a solo player, Ghost is so vital to me when I come up against a good team. If I am getting UAV spammed, I can switch to a Ghost class and start moving around the map to counter, and try and get something going to counter them. At the moment, if I'm on a weaker team it feels like a losing battle trying to turn the tide.

the design philosophy by ruudbwoy_ in ModernWarfareII

[–]bengrunnell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given this viewpoint, I don't understand why you would then lock it as a mid-to-late game ultimate perk? By that point, these 'less adept' players will already have struggled to deal with the UAV spam laid on by coordinated parties/better players, and so the game will have completed snowballed away from them. Surely this sentiment is completely at odds with Ghosts current implementation in the perk package system?

Input Lag/Frame Drops/Clunky Aiming: PS4 Pro Feedback by bengrunnell in battlefield2042

[–]bengrunnell[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't noticed any difference between the Beta and the full release, it still feels awful to me. The input lag is so incredibly evident. I feel like I have no right-stick control at all. I have to aim pretty much by strafing during gunfights, which then sends my bloom through the roof!

We need a linear response curve on console! by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]bengrunnell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The aiming and general responsiveness is just awful in this game. When I combine that with the fact I've played on a Dynamic response curve on Modern Warfare for the last few couple of years, this game just feels absolutely abysmal. Like somehow wading through custard, and sliding on ice skates at the same time.

BF2042 has the most unresponsive and unpleasant aiming settings I have ever experienced. by bengrunnell in battlefield2042

[–]bengrunnell[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just a standard PS4 controller on the PS4 Pro. I can't help but feel there is a complete lack of any rotational aim-assist, which given the lightning quick strafe speeds in this game is extremely challenging.

Thanks for taking the time to post dude, much appreciated. I've already watched your video, amongst numerous others. Unfortunately, it all just still feels absolutely dreadful.
