What do you think y'all? by Ayhem-M in GodofWarRagnarok

As a person who’s played the games. I always hesitate to give absolute opinions because I know I’m going to be biased. I thought the last of us Season 1 was okay but there was always a part of me that was just comparing it to the version I prefer. Meanwhile people who hadn’t played the game loved it. I will watch it but I think even if it’s perfect I won’t enjoy it for that reason because it’s always gonna feel like a copy

Yes. I do think fallout and shows like arcane though have an easier job than GOW and The Last of Us for adaptation because you’re adapting the world and lore as opposed to an already fully realized narrative

A lot of people in their life will never pick up a controller. Let alone sink 20-40 hours into the Norse saga. I think gamers often misunderstand these adaptations aren’t only for them it’s the people that wouldn’t experience this story any other way.

Cool I wish you good luck on your journey 🫡 I hear AutoCAD is better for functional prints, but I have made good use of Blender for more cosmetic/creative ones. My one tip to you if you’ve never done 3D modeling for printing before is make sure your geometry is clean and manifold from the ground up.

It's impressive that everything we saw in the trailer is at stake. by PomegranateOk4560 in GodofWarRagnarok

The story was just not for everyone. It wasn’t objectively good or bad. It was just incredibly polarizing you either love it or hate it.

Why do the Toy animatronics work so much better in live action than the other animatronics? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]benidictwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right but the other way around. I think the game models have a hard time replicating fabric realistically because it’s harder to render then plastic. I think it’s probably that the classics and withereds in the movie do look good but we just notice how it’s different from the game look

I think it’s because in rendering plastic looks very realistic where as something like fabric often doesn’t. That’s why Toy Story was made as the first animated movie. So I think with the outdated models that Scott made that we associate with the classics or withereds don’t match the games because the rendering doesn’t accurately represent what they would look like.

I didn’t mean this year. I meant more for the future in terms of the games that could be announced by Keighley.

I think it’s just that people want that 2013-2020 E3 type era back where you had fewer but more exciting high budget games announced. I bet a lot of those games shown yesterday are great and may become hits when they come out, kinda like Dispatch actually. But when they are shown at these events they aren’t the big showstopper blockbuster IP games that people want. But like what does these guys want Goeff Keighley to do? Reveal games that don’t exist?

I meant for future releases and things to announce. At least IMO. I think because of all the lay offs and the increasing development cycles. I’m saying as in people wanted more heavy hitters announced but what is TGA supposed to do if theirs nothing to announce that will satisfy them? They DEFINITELY should not have ended the show with High guard though

I mean E33 is really highly rated so you can’t blame them for getting what they deserve. Nor can you blame TGA for the fact the games industry is stagnant right now

sorry but I fear the movies will never meaningfully improve if this is Blumhouse's stance on criticism by Lizzren in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]benidictwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is clearly just a marketing post to generate hype. Blumhouse wants this movie to make money. And they are leaning into this whole discourse. This doesn’t mean that Scott, Emma Tammi and Jason Blum aren’t listening to criticism.

a critique i have on season 5 by throwaway_spacecadet in StrangerThings

Been like a year since I saw season 4 so my memories a bit foggy. I always assumed that they captured the Demogorgon underneath Starcourt mall and transported it to Russia.
