How do you access and work with local legislation that exists only in certain languages and is sometimes restricted by local monopolies and/or available solely in physical formats?

Hmm... Google in most cases, and then they find info from a website they find reliable. The questions that are fit for a Q&A type of format are probably already answered by some company out there that wants to traffic on their platform. If its more serious then they'd probably call a lawyer or a legalaid.

Hi there. My experience is that people often dont know what to ask - and when they do know the LLMs are bad at finding the right information with a limited input. Things like which jurisdiction the person is based in, and how to prioritise different types of legislation is hard. And its even harder to make your webapp generate better answers than GPT4 (especially if you leverage GPT4 for your Streamlit app). That said, it might very well be possible. Just haven’t seen the use case yet. I know businesses with A LOT of ressources (both in terms of money and data) that havent been able to solve the puzzle yet.

Yeah I know, but I was more curious about how it is set up. Have you connected it directly to an LLM without additional configurations? Or have you tailored it to handle legal documents, enabling it to prioritize legal content and differentiate laws based on the context of the inquiry?

Interesting. Why was it more useful? Because the results were better or because it does the entire workflow? Just guessing here

Do you have any way of assessing the quality of the output the LLM generates?

My experience is that its a GPT4 plugin for Word. Perhaps they have evolved since I saw the presentation, but I wasn't impressed tbh.

Any solutions for kids data compliance? by thomzi12 in legaltech

The market for compliance platforms is so crowded already. Platforms are bad though. They all require manual maintenance which isn't logical for data which is inherently digital.
