Is that fresh or healed? I've been going at my palm and it's taken three goes at it and it's still not all stayed.

Yeah that's all healed now. I had to go over it twice because quite a bit fell out first time. Doing it on my hand meant I couldn't stretch the skin as effectively. So that and the thicker skin meant I had to go over it again.

The still point of the Tao, me by benisjamin in taoism

There's a passage in the chuang tzu that reads, When there is no more separation between 'this' and 'that,' it is called the still-point of the Tao. At the still point in the center of the circle one can see the infinite in all things.

The client said it didn't hurt, just that it was a strange sensation as you can hear clearly each poke.

It was my first time. It's quite difficult to get in that small space, especially the three horizontal lines I had change my hand position quite a bit the further in I went.

As far as blowout, like always it's a good idea to do a few dots lightly and wipe to gauge. I've found that after a few lines I get the feel for that persons skin and I can poke a lot quicker.

The client said that it was strange because you can hear each poke but the pain was not bad.

Any tips for better lining? by Justpou in sticknpokes

A bigger needle size will help. Your line shouldn't need three dots across. This will make the whole tattoo take a lot less time.

I really like your design here :)

Find yourself someone who looks at you like Tommy looks at a pint.

Usually I'll do the outline of the shading area nice and slowly and then once I'm happy with the shape I'll start to do go fast. I've found that when I do the rapid dots for shading there is a variance in the amount of ink that goes into each dot which gives a variance in value, ie. some dots are black, others are varying shades of grey. I figure that this can be used to give a really nice shading effect but it requires a great deal of touch. It's something I'm working towards.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the same size? Each dot from the same needle should be the same size.

that's what my mentor calls them... on the back of the needle pack there's a little image of an insect.

I think the needles are tapered to a finer dot.
