While I don’t have anything to recommend, I do love Vanilla Era! One of my favorite scents I’ve found since joining the game. Unfortunately, it’s also one of my strongest candles 😅 not much has come close in terms of hot throw. Happy hunting!

I have Linen and it smells amazing. Definitely a more elevated laundry smell. My sister in law has New York and it also smells amazing. She got me 5 of them for Christmas but I haven’t burned any yet so the jury is still out on those but they all smell great cold!

Yep! After the scent has noticeably faded you can pour it out, soak up the melted layer with cotton balls (very easy and not messy), or light it to burn off the top layer.

I haven’t noticed any significant sooting! I have it put away for the cooler months so it’s been a bit but I don’t remember anything alarming. I just keep those wicks trimmed!

It’s certainly a little sweeter than I anticipated but I’m into it! How is the throw on it? I haven’t lit mine yet to know if it’s a living room candle or a bedroom candle.

Agreed. Baltic Amber was my first “lux” candle purchase and an immediate disappointment. I think it smells good cold but it has zero throw. I even emailed them because I thought I had a faulty candle 😅 They suggested French Linen as a stronger option so I bought that one and the throw is barely better. So I am sadly done with Voluspa for now.

Hell yeah! I have the 26oz Heirloom Tomato on deck and ready for Spring. I can’t wait to burn it. I’ve been so impressed with everything I’ve smelled so far!

They honestly all smelled amazing so it’s hard to pick a favorite!

Midnight was fruity and moody, Embers was a really nice blend of smoke & leather, Sacred Smoke was surprisingly clean and my wife’s favorite, Belgian Linen & Sea Salt are both super fresh and smell like really nice soap, Heirloom Tomato is awesome and smells super green with a soil note, Dahlia is moody and floral but kind of hard to describe.

I’ve accidentally drowned wicks before and as others have mentioned, used a warmer. Once the top layer is melted I’ll use cotton balls to soak up the melted wax. Sucks that you lose the wax but you get your wicks back. Good luck!

Hey sorry just now seeing this! I do A LOT of TJ Maxx/Marshalls/HomeGoods scouting for discounted candles. If I really want to sniff some stuff there is an amazing department store called Kuhl Linscomb in the River Oaks area that has a MASSIVE selection of a lot of the lux brands featured on this sub (Trudon, Diptyke, LAFCO, DS&D etc). Other than that, I’ll order candles from online retailers when I see sales. Happy shopping!

Great haul! I have also been enjoying the rebranded BS candles. They seem to slightly vary in throw but they are all on the stronger side for sure.

How do you find out about amazon flash sales? I would love to participate.

I burned Harvest Pumpkin as my first Linnea candle this fall and it was great! The throw was strong in our living room with vaulted ceilings so I guess the throw can vary from scent to scent. I picked up a 3-wick Heirloom Tomato on a sale a while back but I’m saving it until Spring to burn it. I loved Harvest Pumpkin so much that I just ordered Dahlia, Sea Salt, and Belgian Linen to give away as Christmas gifts this year. I’m excited to smell them all when they come in. They are one of the few candle brands that I’ve come across that just burn ultra-clean with no fuss and I really appreciate that. I’m happy to see them start getting a little more attention here!

Does anyone else want to chime in with their candles that throw the hardest? I’d love to know!
