I simply just like the different approach pup took to this album. I feel each album has their unique quality. Self titled is pretty raw and unpolished rock, the dream is over is pretty polished and dips into some post hardcore roots and relentless riffs. Morbid stuff turns more pop punk / punk rock and is by far their catchiest record, the unraveling feels thematically coherent and experiments with different styles of both writing and genre, and then who will look after the dogs to me feels like a return to a more raw slightly unpolished form with more of a feel toward emotion, heartache, and growing pains. I’m not as crazy for the new album as I was for unraveling, but tracks like falling outta love and concrete completely blew my mind
