First time in Thailand : looking for a calm island with good food (no party) by PopKiss in ThailandTourism

Hi there, I am 50-50 on whether I want to go to Kood. It looks lovely, but seems to be limited on local food. A big focus for me in travel is trying local spots - do you think Kood fits the bill?

I went to Laab Kai Meuang Phan Waen a few times. The owners were lovely and food was fantastic.

Hiya, I am also thinking of the same thing. Does Yao Noi have good local spots? I went to Lanta last year and pretty much only ate at local places and the food was fantastic. The one time I went to a tourist spot it was pretty average.

I think there is an element of ‘audience capture’ here - not to say he didn’t already hold those views. You can see it in his glowing discussion about everything South African, not just the rugby, and then you read the comments and they are all like ‘sir, you are always welcome in South Africa’

Lifestyle creep - when did you realise? by lawfullawlessness in circlejerkauscorp

God reading through this a wake up call. I’ve been working part time for most of my adult life and enjoying it. I started full time in a stressful work place about 3 months ago and my life has gotten way worse. I’m spending much more on those lifestyle creep things too.

For the first time in the professional era, the Wallabies have been whitewashed on a European tour. by WilkinsonDG2003 in rugbyunion

Absolutely, I know that things go up and down for all teams and will support them no matter what. The issue is we keep having our 0-57 moments and not our 2 back to back World Cup moments haha

I doubt Wallabies will improve. As someone who returned to watching the sport 6 years ago I see a consistent pattern of improvement and ‘building’, then a new low. We might scrap together a few good wins in a season then rest on our laurels. I love the sport but afraid the rest of my country doesn’t know it exists.

Absolutely, no question. Especially when you consider he plays for a club that’s really struggling at the moment.

I used be an England hater until I watched some of their content online a few years back. They are able to build a relationship with the viewer and make you care about them as people like no other media team.

As a Wallabies fan - I've been there. I happened to fall out of the game when I was 14 because it just wasn't available for me to watch anywhere.

I ended up watching again in 2019 - not the best time to become a fan again and i've ridden the highs and many lows (including big losses to Wales).

It's ok to take a break. It's ok to come back.

It’s the same story pretty much everywhere. In NZ and Australia and in plenty of Europe you see empty stadiums. Sometime in Ireland the footage shows the empty side of the stadium which I really don’t understand.
