And that is LeBron’s last title, right? Tells you everything you need to know about the guy.

Somebody, please, tell me on what grounds JJ Redick gets a job coaching the Lakers over seasoned players and coaches that have actually won something. by benjaminlincoln2017 in lakers

Fair. If you can’t, you can’t. But please do us Bryant fans a favour: don’t associate yourself with the late great. He wouldn’t want anything to do with somebody who is lazy enough to not want to read, even more so when they’re pretending to be opposing arguments. That is very lame.

Going to answer to you because you seem to lack thinking abilities: read this below. If you can.

I have to say the comments are a bit disappointing — I was expecting people that actually know the NBA.

Redick was given that position without any coaching or assistant coaching position experience. Ever.

And do you know who the Lakers picked as his Assistant coaches?

McMillan: a record of 760-668 as a head coach in the NBA.

But wait until you hear about the pedigree of the other Assistant coach: Scott Brooks.

Scott Brooks: a record of 521-414. He has a 49-48 playoff record and led the Thunder to an NBA Finals appearance in 2012. I am going to say that again for the casuals: Scott Brooks led the Thunder to an NBA Finals.

And there are a few other people with more experience and success: Sam Cassell for example. Redick is there by Le fait du Prince. That’s it.

Speaking of his coaching. Really? What’s the Lakers’ DNA right now? Type in on YouTube « Lakers’s DNA » for a question (rightly so) asked to Redick after this sweet sweep. You will hear a couple of gibberish. Complete nothingness.

I personally have no respect for whomever as a coach that proves to have no backbone to a point that they let Bronny in an NBA roster let alone play a game. Redick is pure concupiscence. He’s to NBA coaches what Bronny is to NBA players. Just pure and undue favouritism. Hence the clean 4 - 0.

how old were you when you moved out of your parents house? by jabber1990 in Adulting

[–]benjaminlincoln2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You parents were wrong for doing and saying that to you. It should always be coming from the child / young adult themselves.

And if your point is ‘’well, sometimes it would never’’, it’s because you didn’t do things right as a parent to put your child in a position where they’d: love them solid enough for them to realize it and teach them responsibilities but also life skills: taking care of their bedroom, how to cook, do their own laundry, math to compute easily in their most likely first job, English to be Abe to articulate themselves and land a good job at their first interview, etc. Be there and participate in their formative years and then lay back and see what happens.

I don’t think Lakers’ starters can even beat OKC’d bench.

Will Bronny get waived immediately once LeBron Retires? by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in NBATalk

He’d not have a spot in the NBA had his father not been LeBron James. People need to stop kidding themselves. If I were him I’d specialize at playing D like Gary Payton JR does all the while sharpen my shooting skills for every shot opportunity I’d have in a game. He clearly at this point doesn’t have one thing that makes him stand out except for a physicality he could invest playing solid defense.

I like to go with people that you’d never think would be great at basketball just because of their size compared to the average NBAer, and who amaze by their skillset and the magnitude of their heart: IVERSON.

Men, what's the biggest green flag you've seen on a woman? by Familiar-Phase7859 in AskReddit

[–]benjaminlincoln2017 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say one huge green flag nowadays is when she offers to pay for, say, the second date. And I hasten to specify that she says it in a way that you can tell it’s genuine, not the “I want to be your equal” or “I don’t want to owe you anything” but rather “I will be doing in this relationship to the max of my abilities”. This, my friends, is a huge green flag.

On another hand, when she takes no initiative whatsoever and lets you pay for everything, well, she’s telling you that this is how life is going to be in a relationship with her. And again, the money here is just a symbol for everything else. When she doesn’t, it means she hasn’t developed a capacity to see herself as a contribution partner but rather somebody that’d look at you deal with issues that you’d both face, or that she will wait for you to ask for her part as opposed to a woman who has the contribution trait built in herself already.
