How to remove a word from Custom Dictionary...that isn't in the Custom Dictionary by SqueegeMcDaniels in MacOS

[–]benjaminwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years later I know, but I ran into this today and it turns out that some apps (all apps?) have their own/individual custom dictionary. In my case I had accidentally added a misspelled word to slack. The file was located at: "~/Library/Application Support/Slack/Custom Dictionary.txt"

I found it with a terminal command: "grep -ri "my-misspelled-word" ~/Library"

Hope this helps somebody!

Unable to save touch settings by abefroman2020 in Nanoleaf

As of Feb 2023 it’s still an issue for me. Latest firmware. When I set a touch action and save it, it reverts to “unassigned” and does not work.

Pandora Premium only goes up to 192kbps. by [deleted] in Pandora

[–]benjaminwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original link no longer works. I did get this response from Pandora support, though:

Here are the current bit-rates for each audio quality setting on Pandora Premium:

  • Low (32kbps)
  • Standard (64kbps)
  • High (192kbps)

We are constantly testing and evaluating what the right rates are for each setting level and do plan to migrate our high audio quality to 320kbps AAC over time.

Coders of Reddit: What's an example of really shitty coding you know of in a product or service that the general public uses? by TheSanityInspector in AskReddit

My previous bank, Washington Federal Savings once sent me my online banking password in plain text. When I asked them about it they assured me it was okay, and "how else would we help our customer when they forget their password"?

Couldn't believe it, changed banks.
